Was playing through the Operation Seraphs Shield solo on legendary to get the hunter traces. Was about to face the hive knight at the end of the escape the ketch crash part when suddenly disconnected and showed the "Destiny 2 servers are Available". Double checked if it was my own internet errors to be sure, and it wasn't the case.
