My deal with it is.
If you're not prepared for the mode.
Don't attempt it.
Just like raids.
If you're going in with half measures and ignorance.
You're wasting not just your own time.
But those around you.
You're wasting not just your own time. But those around you.
You do understand that just PLAYING any video game is a waste of time in and of itself though, right? You seem like the kind of guy who would think about putting his Destiny titles on a resume, lol.

Lmfao that's great I like that call out. But no. I'm just saying if you know what kind of situation youre getting into like

Edited by nonchalantone: 1/30/2023 6:18:35 AMThis statement is "half measures and pure ignorance". This is a VIDEO game. Ffs man......you kids today! 😒 You sound like you're the guy who sends the hate mail after the matches!

Edited by iKARUS: 1/30/2023 7:32:28 AMIt's just a harsh truth with a game like this. If you want the loot. You need to learn and practice the ins and outs. Your dos and donts. But what can also be said about this game, is it's easy to learn most of the concepts. Trials. Is more predicting patterns in human error and a dash of luck, along with studying your weapon to a painful degree. Raids. Are simple as muscle memory, studying the process of a "phase", and what can deal the best amount of damage in the small window of opportunity you get to damage. For some it's like left side of the brain thinking and the right. Some can get both some can only get one or the other. All I'm saying is study up, hone in on something you can accel at, to be successful. This isn't collecting jiggys in banjo and kazooie. And honestly. You say you kids today. As If you're a boomer or something~ Usually that goes hand in hand with something like "everyone is just out here for a participation trophy" I thought~

Not really what the OP is talking about though is it.. he's talking about people griefing him simply because they thought he wasn't good enough, and your reply is "get better".. this is a game and should be about having fun. Generally, the only thing that gets in the way of that is other people. You need to step back a bit mate.

And you can't expect to have a good time in something like trials without the know how or the expectation of toxicity. One or the other. Games like this, CoD, siege, apex, or just anything competitive isn't something you can just walk into thinking you're gonna be carried / handled with care. It's just not the reality for a good majority of these game communities. Look at the forums alone~ I'm simply stating, for they're own sake, to practice, to study, if they expect to have a better experience.
-
Once again.. the OP never said anything about being carried, and nobody should ever have to expect toxicity. That's one of the things wrong with these games! It should never be part of the package. It's a game, nothing more.
-
It's a game with alot of ego tripping tied to it. Anything "competitive" in nature is gonna have it. I'm simply stating, to have a better experience is to understand the place you're putting yourself in. Idk how any of y'all wouldve handled the 360/ps3 days of gaming.
-
Trust me, I'm older than you
-
Should I revert to street fighter 2 days then? Or how about Mario speed running tournaments? The wondrous world of boxarcade championships ? It's all the same. Sure they're games. The concept is to have fun. But once you put yourself in a competitive setting. It's not about the fun anymore but the win. Age doesn't equal experience. Nor does it equate to knowledge or understanding. Just like me trying to get through to you that: the only way to bettering their mental health through experiencing this game mode is to study at improving their play style. Or not doing it at all. At the end of the day it comes down to YOU. and how you compose yourself. Just like you said it's a game. And that statement is a double edged sword. Regardless of if u wanna hold it by the handle or not.
