So Bungie, is purposely killing someone else with eager edge or titan slam griefing?
Just tell me officially. I don't think you ever have. Everyone says just report them for griefing, but is it?
I'm not asking for everyone's opinion on who needs to not be a baby, or whatever. I'd like Bungie to actually tell us if it's OK. Just own up and tell us what the real story on it is. I know a lot of people have complained about it, but it doesn't matter if it's an acceptable behavior. I mean if it is, I'm probably just going to equip The Other Half for the rest of my career and just yeet people all the time. I mean it's OK right? I don't care if I'm becoming part of the problem, sometimes more problem finally leads to a solution.
Edit: Didn't expect this to really go anywhere, but it just reinforces my point. No one has shown anything other than personal opinion on if it's griefing. I've yet to see a moderator chime in or someone to link anything that gives a definitive answer. I don' think there's anything against it officially anywhere and I think the people who are reporting it are just wasting their time.

3 RepliesI always try to be the last guardian standing. I have only one purpose in match made game play- kill as many fireteam members as possible, and kill them as many times as possible. It's all in the name of fun. Eager edge FTW

They don't care. I had a guy constantly doing this to the 2 of us in heists, he'd just wait for us to start using the relic to open the doors and eager edge. There's nothing you can do but ignore the objective or leave. Reported - nothing. We literally couldn't progress cause of it. If that's not sabotage, I really don't know what is. The game is already barely playable, and they even openly allow it to be even worse. No excuse at all!

Its literally the definition of griefing your killing your teammate which if your in a dungeon means a 40 second reswan token its also sabotage because its less damage on an encounter which could mean a whipe which wastes time and it also anoys everyone including your victim it sounds like you want to give yourself an excuse for being a jerk and an -blam!-

It's really no different from the year or so when warlocks could kill guardians with handheld supernova. But by definition, yeah it kinda is griefing. Not that deaths really matter in 90% of the content in this game ofc.

They designed it into the game and haven’t done anything about it, so that means they condone it. the regular gameplay is so monotonous they have to allow for such drama.

Edited by FloodZ: 1/31/2023 3:28:38 PMI am amused by how the pro-eager edge comments invariably fall into one of two categories: "Stop complaining, [i]it almost never happens[/i] so it's not a big deal." and "Stop complaining, [i] I do it all the time[/i] and it's hilarious so it's not a big deal." Even if it's only 200 people out of the ~800,000 daily player count that are eager edging other players during only one strike per day, that's 400 people they're potentially annoying, every day. It's not surprising that after a few days they'd find someone annoyed enough to make a forum post about it.

I really wish they would just turn off guardian collision or eliminate eager edge. I would say about 80% of the match made PVE content I’ve played in the past 2 weeks has had one guardian doing that.

My personal rule is, if you get in a raid team or premade group and eager edge it is ok. If you do it to random people in matchmade activities you are a -blam!-.

The only time I’ve ever done that was with clan mates, or with a person in heist battle grounds camping in the back and not engaging. The guy made the activity last an extra 20 minutes. So I killed him at the boss. He left as soon as I did it.

I have serious questions about people's IQs and mental health when they still spam eager edge to team kill after it's been in the game for over a year.

Bungie doesn't care unless it gives the player any sort of advantage in PVE.
