• In no particular order; -People who are bad at debating. When people are good at it, I can debate for hours on end, but when people are bad at it it gets annoying really fast. Whether or not someone is good at debatig oft comes down to their reason for doing so. Some people will instigate a debate because they’re genuinely interested in the conversation, some people will debate because they like hearing themselves talk about how right they supposedly are. I’ll give you three guesses which one’s the one who’s good at debates. -People who can’t take criticism. If you are making any kind of art—writing, music, painting, games, movies—you should be open to hearing its flaws. You should be glad to hear someone break it down, and tell you what they dislike, because if you don’t ever hear what’s wrong you won’t know how to fix it. Some people really hate receiving criticism, though, and they get on my nerves. They make the art in question wanting a pat on the back, and if you don’t give it to them they lash out.
Storytime for this one! There’s this game called Project Spark. It’s one of those games where you create other games, and I am part of an Xbox Club devoted to the game. One member of the club suggests we try to make a group project, and I say I’m down. Group project starts, and most of us hit it off right away. We start talking about mechanics, having debates and whatnot. One guy got annoyed at how much we were debating stuff, though. He just wanted to build, and expected everything to come together perfectly without discussion. At one point, he proposed making a quick select wheel, and I asked him why we’d need one; items couldn’t be used in combat. He didn’t take it well, threw a tantrum, deleted everything he made for the project, then left. The project never came to fruition, and was disbanded for unrelated reasons, but of course we were all still in the club. So, one guy was working on a turn based game, asked for some feedback, and then I gave it. The same guy from before—who I wasn’t even talkimg to—stepped in and told me to knock it off. I’ve never seen anyone hate feedback as much as this dude. He very much annoys me.
-The quickest way to get on my bad side is probably to mess with my shelves. Whether we’re talking about my collectibles at home, or the shelves I stock at work, don’t touch my flippin’ shelves. I keep them organized here!
