First one, but styling doesn’t have to be that intensive. Use a curler if you’re gonna leave the house. Otherwise, before you go to sleep, braid your hair straight upwards from the top of your skull, then coil and bun it with a scrunchi. If it disagrees with your head shape, do two instead. I do this for shaped waves with regular depth and volume.

All of that was more or less the plan, but I've been cutting my hair short and just letting it do whatever until it hot my neck from first grade until around five years ago. Doing more than nothing at all feels like intense effort! Actually giving a -blam!- about my appearance still feels weird to me!
