So I went to the Cosmodome to do the lost sector near the end of the starting level, next to where a fallen walker constantly spawns after being defeated. I came across a blueberry constantly dying. Helped them kill the walker, revived them a lot, saw them on their way. Did the lost sector, left. Saw another blueberry struggling. I spent like an hour killing fallen walkers and rezing blueberries. Turns out there's a surprisingly constant stream of blueberries coming out of there. Has anyone else done this?
(Does anyone know how new lights got the name Blueberries?)

New players are in that section of the map quite frequently because it’s part of the story line for new light guardians. Blueberry is a term used for people not on your fireteam. The blue dot on radar.

Bungie removed it to make space for stuff, now it’s a bit of a guessing game for some blueberries whom have never played a game, but they’ll get it, or quit, either one doesn’t changes the outcome of Destiny 2 as a whole.

Edited by Tru-Zrue: 2/2/2023 7:40:07 AMI have noticed this not too long ago. Didn’t think anything of it until your post. Lbs. Is it an xp farm spot or something? Edit: plus everyone in the wild are blueberries. Hence the blue dots on your radar.

The term blueberry refers to the radar, where people not in your fireteam appeared blue instead of green. Somehow, not being in a fireteam was converted into "new players".

Edited by NerfPaladins06: 2/1/2023 4:55:00 AMMore often terrible players than new players. Look at their season pass levels. I see people over 100 die repeatedly to dumb -blam!- all the time.

when you see that there is a correct answer to the question stop writing the same thing over and over its idiotic...im sure that some of you didnt even know and just copy the guy above....FFS
-
Yes, coz theyre non fireteam players. Greens are in your fireteam. I call the greens gooseberries.
-
Nobody mentioned it, but, new lights are also known as kinderguardians!
-
On your radar people you launch in with appear as green dots. Other fireteam members/ ppl in your game world who you have randomly joined appear as little blue dots hence “blueberries”

Nope. I just display my power by nuking the walker and roll out leaving them saying whoa, I want to be that powerful one day. Classic mmo experience.

Edited by Chucky: 1/31/2023 9:25:42 PMI think the blue berry thing comes from the blue circles on the radar, as opposed to your green fireteam buddies - “ that blueberry over there is getting slain” I used to hang out at the farm next to mithraax and accept invites to help people do zero hour, I also enjoyed the mini games at the farm getting like 6 blueberries to follow me to get the jump and speed buffs

Sadly I've been around long enough to remember the kinderguardians and Christmas noobs
-
Blueberry are not new light but randoms...and are often bad The name blueberry come from the fact they are a blue dot in your radar
-
Its because people not on your fireteam appear as blue dots on your radar, hence blueberries
-
the name blue berry comes from how they are blue and round on the radar. it looks like a "blue berry"
-
Blue dots on radar, I think
-
Yes, I periodically go for a wander in the Cosmodrome to watch the Kinderguardians taking their first steps. Little bit of nostalgia :)

Edited by MeMiMouse: 1/31/2023 10:55:16 PMI still remember the name of the Warlock that helped me when I was a new blueberry...
-
If I had to guess I'd say it's because they're always using blue gear?
-
Blue dots on radar. Anything else is tailored to D2.
-
I needed a few more carries to complete my Vow of the Disciple carry emblem, but couldn’t get people to join on lfg. A pal in my group ended up going to the Cosmodrone and tried getting blueberries to join up for a free Rhulk carry. We got the blueberries their first Vow clear (and first ever raid clear) and I got the emblem done 👍
-
They use blue gear and appear as blue dots on the radar.
-
I always try to help newbs. Well done man!

Cosmodrome is where most of the new light/player training missions occur. So you get a lot of newbies in this area trying to figure things out. Blueberries is a generic term for any player not in your fireteam... they show in blue on your HUD/Radar
