I had no idea people only want to play with other vegans like it matters at all.
LGBT gaming safespaces I can understand. But this is something else.

[/quote] Because I have a hard time seeing how a vegan could feel uncomfortable in game chat or a public Discord, but I can easily see how a gay person would. Isn't that obvious? The two groups are nowhere near being victims of an equal level of discrimination.

take a look at the vitriol this post has received from simply advertising a VEGAN discord server. this is not the best example as i am waiting for the real testament of trolling and hatred to roll in but there ARE examples here already. you cannot see it or understand it simply because you do not wish to. the mere mention of the word, “vegan”, makes people angry. enter open vegan spaces and you can see prime examples of what i mean. you can see evidence of such malice in unrelated spaces like this one. just because vegans are not marginalized at the level of discrimination as those in the LGBTQIA+ community does not mean the mistreatment is nonexistent. just existing as vegan is enough to piss people off. it is not a contest nor am i trying to compare, you brought up those in another community. it is a fact that vegans experience hatred for no reason. therefore, a safe space to coexist with those who live and share the lifestyle is necessary. malice and the ill-intended can be weeded out which anyone can appreciate in any space.

As a vegan myself, I have pretty much never been harassed or bullied because of it. I can think of maybe once or twice, and I stopped eating meat probably about 20 years ago. Are you sure it’s your veganism that’s the problem, and not your attitude? I’m leaning towards the latter.

You don’t have to have met him before because he already doesn’t like you from the way you’ve acted in your first encounter with him. First impressions are everything you know and screwing up the first one can give people a not very favorable view of you. As for the “do you have a life, job,ect” that shows off your character more than it does his. Idk how you managed to do it but you were able to complain about someone and show that you a hypocrite in the same sentence. Saying that “have we met before” and “do you know me” as a way of claiming he’s making assumptions even though he hasn’t met you only to go on and do the same thing by assuming he has no “life or job”. Practice what you preach my friend and the next time people may see you in a better light and not as annoying. [spoiler]also you are aware that “advertising” anything like private discord servers or things of the sort are, well, kinda prohibited [/spoiler]

There's no malice towards vegans in this post that I can see. Just some people trolling your -blam!- like they do everyone else. It'd happen whatever Discord you advertise or Twitch channel you plug. But I'm still surprised vegans feel the need to restrict themselves to only playing with other vegans. But that makes sense, seeing as even the VeganGaming subreddit has less than 500 members...
