Yes this is another thing that hunters get that further perpetuates the problem of unfair game play.
We’ve seen the constant complaints on these forums about how unfair it is to fight against someone with shield.
Here the exotic for the hunter, they give the hunter a overshield and flinch resistance. Seriously they are such a easy mode in the game already having use of all the fragments, over powered supers, and now a free overshield.
Titan gets Khepri’s horn exotic with also giving a overshield in this new strand subclass.
The warlock support class is no fun. Your exotic is legs and you will have to jump through a hoop to use it. You shoot a stasis ball and then that turns into what The Colony grenade launcher already does.

No where does it state it’s an over shield lmfao it’s probably just the exotic perk activating it’s always the titans and warlocks that jump to conclusions when titans have been broken for 2+ seasons spamming grenades and panic shoulder charges that one hit kill lmaoooo

They showed what the new exotics do and the hunter had a overshield by using the grapple. As long as that overshield is up, resists flinch.

All overshields in this game are displayed that way. It also shows the color of the overshield matching the energy type. In this case it was green for strand. If this new hunter exotic didn’t give a overshield and it is just a buff of unflinching. Buffs are displayed as auroras from the head. This exotic does Two things. They clearly give two examples in the video. In the vid we see a Warlock dies. A Hunter grapples in with the overshield equipped and it states that grapple gives “woven mail”. That is the 1st perk with the exotic. All overshields in the game perform and look the same. This is definitely a damage resist. Next we the Hunter aim at the Titan but the Titan was able to get his shot off first with a scout rifle, hitting the hunter but wasn’t enough damage to undo the overshield. Which is what the 2nd part of the exotic perk displays, that while “woven mail” is up they are unflinching. If it was just unflinching as a perk. They would have worded that whole scene Once. Instead they clearly showed Two perks to that one exotic.

Haha you think identity matters. I'm a warlock main and if there's anything I've learned this year it's, "identity shmidentity". Either identity doesn't matter or the warlock identity is that one class that loses everything it had that made it cool.

How do you know it’s an over shield I watched it to its a defensive buff that gives flinch resist lmao no where does it say over shield 🤷♂️

Grapple gives the hunter something called woven mail. That is the overshield you see. It’s literally a protective barrier. All barriers in the game display it that way. From void weapon perk granting overshield, Titans barricade, to intruders in Gambit. (Even that damage resist solar one from D1) all show overshields working the same way. This one in the trailer as a exotic perk with that overshield also gives the wearer flinch resistance.

Unflinching mods don't give a protective barrier so what makes you think that a glorified Unflinching hunter exotic helmet won't give them an overshield? Especially since you need to activate it by grappling first? It glows just like a void overshield lmfao how new are you? -

The trailer showed that hunter exotic did Two things. 1st. Grapple gives woven mail, the overshield. 2nd. Woven mail while active resists flinch.
