Friendly FYI to all D2 players, A large amount of the time I'm discussing this topic I find a lot of D2 players don't realize there's no financial incentive to pre-ordering the entire year's content before you see what you are buying. S20 comes with Lightfall. Seasons cost $10 each & the dungeon key costs $20. Standard Edition Lightfall = $50usd. Lightfall + Annual Pass = $100usd (Standard Edition Lightfall = $50 + S21 =$10 + S22 =$10 + S23 =$10 + Dungeon Key =$20). If you've become fatigued with Destiny 2's seasonal model, didn't think the Y5 annual pass was worth the money &/or are now concerned about LF's annual pass - There's literally no reason to gamble. You can purchase them as they come & they prove to be worth your hard earned dollars with zero fear of missing out. Unless you absolutely can't live without the pre-order emblem, ghost shell, & emote. Yes, they also have the Quicksilver Storm exotic. But much like any other pre-order bonus exotic weapon - the Quicksilver Storm will come down the pipe to the rest of us around S23/S24. Personally, I don't see the Quicksilver Storm becoming Meta & didn't find it that great of a weapon play testing on a friends account. Now, before anyone gets their feelings hurt - I'm only posting this because I find a lot of players that don't know this info. If you are stoked about Lightfall & the Y6 annual pass I'm happy for you & I hope that Y6 dazzles your pants off, overwhelming over delivers on your expectations, & entertains you beyond your wildest imagination. Peace. Be kind to each other out there.

You've confused financial value with entertainment value.

Ah, thinking everyone else is not has smart has you , and you must bless the ignorant with your pearls of wisdom Then you grow up and realize no one gives a crap -
None of your business what I do with my £££.

Useless information
-
It's their money. They can do as they please with it.
-
After all its flaws I still preorder the deluxe because there's nothing like it out there, definitely worth it imo
-
nah i will still pre-oder every single year
-
Who cares? Imma play it whether it’s good or bad. But seeing as witch queen was a success and this is building on that, it will be worth the money. This in a nutshell is D3 as the interface of the game is changing and it will almost feel like a new game.

Sorry I am buying lightfall however I like, you ain't my boss, you ain't my lord, you are nothing, I know this is an fyi, but still I hate how you feel like this post is going to make others not buy lightfall. Your rebellion sucks.
-
I have enough money to not care about "financial incentive"
-
Cool story. Pre-ordered on my main as always 👍 Gotta have that emote 😁
-
Or wait hear me out hear me out people can use there money how they plz and use the money they work hard for to buy what they enjoy I wish people on this forums would learn this and stop acting like they can just tell people what to buy and do with there money
-
I've seen what I'm buying, $150 is definitely worth it
-
Giving Bungie an interest free loan for 6 months so that you can show off that you're a sucker with paid-for cosmetics and early access to ONE exotic weapon... Lol... Pre-order right before launch if you must pre-order. Don't throw money at the screen. It's bad for the game when they know you'll pay no matter what.
-
So you'll wait until next year to buy it? .. witch queen was 100 percent worth it. So was beyond light. I don't understand peoples anxiety.
-
It’s a $10 discount and immediate access to the exotic
-
This. 100 percent. Stop giving them money for doing the bare minimum.

Edited by conkus805: 2/2/2023 1:02:15 AMI never buy a product sight unseen. even though money isn't an issue, I work hard for it so I don't just give it away to someone doing a half assed job.

Quicksilver is a top 10 exotic primary.
-
This game is nowhere near worth the price tag put on it. This business said it themselves. They don't want to "overdeliver". In other words, expect less as usual. Now if this was an actual developer like the original Bungie was, I can see myself investing in the game because they actually cared about the work they produced, unlike this business.

With how lame both Duality and Tower are (didn't even bother with Tower), I have no desire to purchase another Dungeon key ever again. To think those are worth $10 each is absurd. Reused bosses and encounters. Super buggy. Terrible exotic drop rates. Sure, they have cool weapons and armor, but so does every other section of the game. I have never had an issue with the season pass price and what you get, but I would never buy another dungeon key again. I will hold and see what the season pass armor looks like. Light Fall seems like a wait for sale. Does anyone really think they are doing something new with it? No, pre-ordering anything Destiny is for fools at this point. You have nothing to gain.

Ive had worse 100$ purchases in my lifetime. Dates, movies, random gifts, food and gas. 100$ for annual pass is the least concern for majority of players here. You're welcomed to buy another game for 100$. See how long that lasts you.
-
Some people have more money than they know what to do with. As long as bungi keeps releasing anything, no matter how bad, people will keep throwing money at the screen. #LukeSmithWasRight

You can just buy everything separately for the same amount of money. I preordered deluxe last time, learned my lesson. I'm buying every single thing separately from now on, after it comes out and I see what it's really like.
-
Even if there was, I'd rather pay the small difference in price to not give a game dev my money before I can see what's on offer. Especially not as untrustworthy as live service game devs are.
-
I only preorder for fun, I can quit any time I want, no really I can.
