Frankly, I agree other than witch queen itself this year has been one fiasco after another, and after seeing strand in play some with the new exotic trailer I’m becoming quite skeptical, I must applaud Bungie for being more open lately but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s because the cash cow they’ve made the game into is petering out. I can’t say that 100 usd is really worth it as before destiny 2 was free to play it was 60 usd and you got roughly 7x more content overall and you could buy a package that included the base game and CO & WM for 100 usd for almost 8x the content of that year. I admit I wasn’t and am still not a fan of activison but at least when Bungie had to deal with them prices were held in better check and wasn’t nearly as parasitic overall. In my opinion the most Bungie probably could conscionablely charging is 60 usd 4 deluxe package and even that’s pushing it. Frankly I’d advise waiting a week before purchasing lightfall after it’s drop date and see reviews and just general quality of the dlc if it’s underwhelming as I’m beginning to suspect I’ll probably take a hiatus from the game until final shape (assuming we’re not lucky enough 4 them 2 cancel that expansion and just start on a D3 for the sake of quality control)
