Solar Titan feels like it's missing an archetype! I have an Idea! I think
I think the class identity of titans can be a bit lacking sometimes. You can see in the solar 3.0 dev video where they talk about the archetypes of the classes, titans get none, just "Burn the World," which the warlocks are already good at!
I propose a solution! I think the Solar Titan could be a Crusader archetype! It fits with the lore too, it's just not represented in the gameplay that well.
So I was thinking, maybe make sliding with Consecration equipped deal Scorch damage to nearby enemies based on how long you run before sliding? This would also incentivize people to use the ground slam more often since they'd be sliding around all the time.
Oh yeah! I also have an idea for a new melee! I don't know if it would be doable because of the melee hit-reg stuff but I think it could work! So, I suggest a grabbing melee!
The titan could grab & hold someone by the shoulder, and just crunch it!
I imagine it dealing Scorch to them while you hold the button down, and that the last crunch would Ignite them!
It would be awesome if the melee gave you cure when you released it, either x1 or x2 depending on how long you held it. I think this melee could insta-kill too if you held it for the whole duration, but the timing would make it so that you would get the crunch in time, only if the enemy whiffs one of their melees.
I think this would really add to the zealous crusader feeling that solar titans are meant to have!
