[SPOILERS] Last Mission Cutscene Question

Okay so again Spoiler warning!!!! At the very end of the Calus fight we see our ghost do a bad disobedient thing going up to the whatever Veil thing is that we fought 8 missions for but then we hold a Khvostov at the end to presumably shoot our own ghost. My questions are the following that perhaps someone more Lore savvy can explain: 1.) I thought a special bullet is required to shoot or hurt a ghost ie. Cayde's ghost that gets shot down by the Scorn's specially crafted bullet to even kill it. So how does a golden age weapon stand against a ghost? and why did we even hold a Khvostov to begin with if we never even shot. 2.) Why didn't we just strand grapple our ghost or if Nimwit could just silver surfer skate up there to begin with, then why didn't he just do something earlier instead of the terrible ex-machina way he did it. Again this is probably the Bungie Story Writer's issue for continuity or lack of ideas but man was it not worth the money I spent :/ I never had buyer's remorse before, even during what I thought was the dark ages of Curse of Osiris.

  • I believe there is a lot of disagreement on this topic. Personally I say bungie have made some retcons. A devourer round was specially made for sundance, yet ghosts have also been killed my non paracausal means also
