Bungie, Now is Your Chance to Show us Your Thoughts on Endgame Melee Builds

I am a Titan main. We punch a lot. In the Witch Queen era, we saw a lot of our melee exotics, builds, and interactions with other weapons and perks get nerfed tremendously. I believe Bungie has mentioned before that they still would like melees to be viable - well now is the perfect time to see if that holds true. Currently, the new Heavy Glaive is bugged and is doing a lot of damage when paired up with Synthos. So much so, it is currently disabled in Raids, Dungeons and Gambit until a fix can go out. Personally, I think the current damage doesn't need too much of a nerf. Maybe nerf the damage by 10-15% and fix the interaction it has when other glaives proc Close to Melee - but that's it. Why do I think this? Because the new difficult added to the game. I just watched Aztecross' "This Build Took Destiny 2 Offline (Double Glaive Boss Melt)" video and noticed that, while the build was strong, it took some setup and build crafting to be able to survive being that close to enemies in the first place. And even when it was used against bosses, the build never did enough to solo the boss completely. The Mars Battleground he showcased was proof that you could have all the "crazy" and "OP" damage in the world but if you aren't strong enough to survive, it doesn't matter. Melee builds are riskier than they ever have been - especially in more difficult content. If someone wants to take a Heavy Glaive into hard content, wear Synthos and purposely not kill enemies in order to keep their damage high, I think they should be rewarded for it. The TLDR here is: I know the damage with the Heavy Glaive is high but for the sake endgame melee build variety, please don't nerf the damage here too much. The new difficulty added to the game makes these builds riskier and so the reward for figuring out a good melee build and playing it well should match (especially if your heavy weapon is melee based!).
