CBMM needs to come back for sure. SBMM has been removed in thd past, so I have reason to believe it might be removed again. When the honeymoon period wears off with the raid and the player population drops, they may be forced to due to bad match quality.

You are blatantly misrepresenting my position and projecting. I dislike SBMM because it [i]doesn't[/i] matchmake you against people of equal skill. Why is it that I'm nearly always top fragging while my team goes below 1.00, while the enemy team stomps? Why is nearly every match result in "we're breaking up those teams to find another match"? CBMM had significantly more consistent matchmaking. One of the first games of the season I literally got a run out of medals, so don't even try to pull that trope on me.

Yeah maybe you should try being a solo player for years and staying out of pvp cause the game was matching you with players leaving games and six stacks that cheat blatantly. Sorry but I have had enough of cbmm. This game needs better servers. All fps games should have sbmm. I don't wanna match cheaters every game or whatever. No thanks I'd rather not play at all.

There have been several instances where SBMM was added then removed due to the issues it caused in game, one of such time periods was around Forsaken I believe. I was also a solo PVP player for the majority of time. Do I think getting matchmade against a six stack is wrong? Absolutely. Would I think they were cheating? Maybe not. It depends on your concept of cheating, people on PC aren't running around with aimhacks 24/7, though if you're talking about console players it's entirely possible XiM users existed. If you think all FPS should have SBMM, I would agree when referring to competitive gamemodes, which we already have, but not core casual Playlists. Just look at COD and what happened to it due to abhorrently strong SBMM (among other paramount issues like map design of course).

Are you reading the same game history I am? Nonetheless this is why I said "almost" keywords are important my guy. I still had a higher on average efficiency vs the rest of my team. Also, this does not explain the W/L ratio.

Are sample sizes not a concept to you? Did the word "almost" not clue in? Did my original comment not allude I was talking about efficiency, not raw kills since the former is generally more important especially in control? You have literally 78 games and have not touched pvp in a while. I have over 2.5k games and touch it frequently. Do you not see the difference here?

This is demonstrably ironic coming from soemone with a private game history, but nonetheless out of the 8 games that you chose to focus on for no apparent reason, yes you are correct in terms of raw kills, but not in terms of efficiency or W/L. At 1.5 KDR lobbies and above you need to know when to take engagements and when not to, and this generally results in less kills overall because you know when to retreat and advance. Of course, extrapolating to the seasons pertaining to SBMM overall is what I was referring to.

If I were to change the wording to "I did decent" for the specific case of the past 8 games that you are so hyperfixated on, would it change the fact that my efficiency on average was higher than most of my team, or the fact that we got stomped by the enemy in half of the defeat cases for these 8? I will do that if you wish.

I was not ever specifically referring to the past 8 games, that is what I've been saying. Looking at the wider picture, the issue with SBMM matchmaking surrounding mercy rules, leaving and matchmaking differentiation becomes apparent, bungies own data literally stated this a few seasons ago when SBMM was introduced.

I think you are correct in that aspect, that being said I think even conceptually SBMM never really made sense for QP and IB. They weren't ever particularly "competitive" gamemodes. You may also want to give SBMM a shot. It is truly an odd environment in casual playlists.

That's definitely a surefire way to win, haha. At this point I just try to stop spawns from flipping, that way I just cap the first and try to hold down the midpoint, then I go for the final point for Hunt or whatever it's called.
