Hi there!
Game sharing is a platform specific feature and is not supported by Bungie.
For more information, please review the below help article.

Edited by rosie: 3/25/2023 3:08:29 PMthis is a complete non answer, i addressed that in the post. other platforms have said this is on bungie's end. Many players have been using this to play the game for YEARS. it deserves to be addressed. the post says "Bungie does not support any issues with loss of access to items on accounts that are using the game sharing features to access Destiny content." but nothing about losing access to the entire dlc on a platform that ALLOWS gamesharing for every other game. Nothing in what you link addresses this
-
Bungies article does address it - they don't guarantee you'll be able to gameshare it and if it breaks they wont give gamesharing accounts support over it.
Players accessing Destiny content through the game sharing feature may not be able to access all DLC, add-ons, promotional items, or pre-order items for which the primary account owns the licenses. Bungie does not support any issues with loss of access to items on accounts that are using the game sharing features to access Destiny content.

While some console systems may allow game sharing between accounts on the same console, Bungie can only support Destiny content for accounts that own the content.
Edited by rosie: 3/25/2023 3:17:34 PMbut it did work until the hotfix, EVERY other platform still allows it and so does actual xbox, and xbox has said it is on Bungie's end. I feel its something very clearly messed up/changed after the hotfix and players deserve acknowledgement to know if it is intended or not. with many players being effected by it, it’s not too much to ask just for SOME offical acknowledgement if it was an intended change or not.
-
They did acknowledge it in the article. It's not supported by Bungie as it clearly states
-
yes, but it still works on EVERY OTHER platform and worked until now. if it’s an intended change there should be an announcement that it’s not supported. Many players are effected by this
-
They announced it in the article. If platforms decide to change Bungie has no control over that
-
read the post, we have contacted the platforms and they did not change anything. this is on bungies end
-
Nope. Bungie creates content they do not sell or control liscensing. The platforms are just pushing you away because they don't want to deal with it
-
i’m sure you know everything 100% more than the actual companies 😅😂
-
I know bungies stance on this as I have been here quite awhile kiddo. They are content creators , you better look that up and understand what it means

Edited by rosie: 3/25/2023 11:36:42 PMbungie isn’t just the game devs, they have internal departments for more than just the people who make the game. plus this seems like an in game bug since the dlc shows as owned via gameshare on the launcher (as it always did). So it is an in game bug! (or change). I feel it’s important to actually know what the issue is before trying to comment on it haha

Licensing is controlled by the platforms, not the game devs lol you have a lot to learn
-
your really doing everything to defend these anti-consumer policies
-
I don't expect a developer to handle platform issues.. they have 0 control over what platforms do with licensing
