Level up a bit more. The first two weeks I was getting absolutely wrecked. But now it feels like any other season. I'm not even good, btw.

There are tons of games out there that aren't challenging and still more that have variable difficultly settings. Play one of those and let us have a single season of challenge. Bungie has been catering to entitled kids who want to get rewards without demonstrating any skill or commitment since D2's release. Guaranteed exotic drops, Nightfalls without orbit wipes, and campaigns that are trivially easy and rob us of any sense of triumph or intrinsic value. It took me like an hour and 20+ wipes to finish the normal campaign. It was glorious.

20+ wipes on normal campaign? I'm a 57yr old broad and I didn't die that many times with all 3 characters. Not sure 'challenge' is your thing? Commitment? its a videogame, casual entertainment, its not a vocation. Orbit wipes added nothing, they just wasted time. Sorry but anyone that misses this idiocy hopefully has a fulltime carer and rubber underwear. Trivial campaigns? How the hell would you know you spent most of it dead.

lol. It was day one. Literally every attack from anything other than a psion or legionary was a one hit kill if I wasn’t invis + omni. Probably chill a little. Take your meds.

The problem is not making it an opt-in option. If you want something hard that you can’t just chill and have a beer playing, then choose those harder difficulties. But don’t force the challenge on players. Whether you like it or not, the casuals paying for cosmetics and stuff vastly outnumber the toxic people like you who disrespect people casually the way you just did. Their money is the only reason you have a game to play at all. Go ahead and make them quit and see what happens.

The issue is it feels like I have to sweat it and I shouldn’t. I should be able to choose if I want a challenge I have to sweat constantly. In heroic difficulty a NF for someone above 1800 should be almost a roflstomp. I’m not pouring hours of grind time into my character to get good gear and stats just to be one shot by a thresher or sniped by a hobgoblin or some -blam!-. Like come on.

Its either a skill issue or a build issue. Im sorry but hero nightfalls are dog -blam!- easy if you are on level for them and have a competent build. No sweating required. Even if they did require you to "sweat" (i cant believe that word is being used to refer to freaking hero nightfalls) nightfalls were never casual content. They are the first step to end game content and it is a VERY small step.

Im sorry but yes this is just a skill issue my 64 year old d2 friend (that I met though another friend) can play and do nightfalls 1770+ he just takes his time and is patient so either you are worse then a 60 year old and prolly should play things you are able to or you are just rushing/ doing something wrong

I literally just tried doing the nightfall before my game decided to crash and it was easy asf 😂 didn’t get very far but we got through the first part in a breeze

And the overwhelming majority of feedback here across this thread and several others is that you are wrong. So I’m not gonna be replying to you any longer. Read the room. I can do the NF on 1770 just fine. The issue is that it’s too hard to be able to chill and do casually. The difficulty it has at heroic now should be more like legendary.

I really hate it when people come into a thread like this one and completely mischaracterize the entire topic before saying something useless like, “I just did it and it was easy.” Like great. First of all, nobody was saying it can’t be done and nobody was saying it’s impossible. Secondly, you happening to have a good run is a useless statistic that proves nothing to anyone. Lastly, the overwhelming feedback is that they’ve made pve content too hard to be able to relax and play and be chill. Stop disrespecting the conversation with your lazy discourse.

But man... even on 1820 some stuff made me really mad and made me turn my pc off. Which i turned back on after 5 min's, but ok. It's not too hard... but it is way more difficult and makes you think more about your loadout. WHich can be a good thing, by the way. But it's true that people allway complain at the start of a new season. I still remember people complaining about Throne World patrol zone. One reddit post even said: "Don't go there! You will be killed right a way!" Lol. And now see how easy that is. But for people who only play like 2 hours a day it is quite an adventure i guess. And there's a lot of those.
