Because too many of us players are sitting on 5k+ in enhancement cores.
You don't have to craft every weapon. Many players just craft 1-2 weapons a season anyway.

Crafting was brought in as a fail-safe, they are meant to take a long time, problem is people live in want now world, just started playing the game and can't craft God roll bad game I am out lol

You don't have to craft enhanced perks. Unless you really love the weapon, I see no point in crafting all the guns. I still have patterns for weapons I haven't crafted yet.
