If you completed the Nightfall 3 times using the "surge" you should have gotten both your pinnacles already, if you did 5 strikes and didn't get a pinnacle, well you you already completed the pinnacles pinnacles so you won't get anything...

I did the regular strikes first with the surge, got nothing. Did the nightfalls after. Got one pinnacle.
