The difficulty increase that came with Lightfall extinguished my love for Destiny

I used to play D2 almost daily, casually playing vanguard ops and seasonal missions. I used to spend 10+ hourse a week playing bit haven't even played in the last days. This is not fun anymore since the introduction of negative power deltas with the release of Lightfall. Permanently being underlevel in missions that should be casual makes them feel like a chore. Same can be said about Lost Sectors and the Neomuna patrol zone. Playing them feels absolutly awful and way too grindy. I don't understand what went through Bungie's head when they introducted these changes. I feel like this makes the already awful new light experience even worse as vanguard ops and patrol zones seem like the starting point for new players. Please reverse these changes or make them optional. Being able to relax in vanguard ops, a bit higher difficulty in seasonal missions and legend content and high butmanagable difficulty in master and gm nightfalls.

  • I hit the pinnacle cap recently and I decided to work on my Titan to get them kitted out and unlock all the Strand aspects and fragments. I spent a bit grinding today and decided it’s just not fun or worth it to do that. Everything is so tedious. Just boring and frustrating having to dump a full mag into a red bar. And not even for good loot. None of the drops help you get more powerful, you’re stuck with a negative delta on most activities. There really isn’t a point in grinding light level anymore. Most of my clan has stopped playing regularly and is moving on to other games. We can’t just hang out and relax anymore. But at least the sweats who treat this game like a job can be challenged and look down their noses at others again because they’re awesome at something. I loved when GMs would roll out because I could do challenging things for special loot. It was a treat. I’d farm them for good rolls if the reward was something I wanted. But no reward is worth this. I hope these data-driven chucklefuchs revert some changes and let us gamers who just want to have fun have some activities where we don’t need to meta-sweat just to play.
