Who tf cares what my stats are? That doesn’t have anything to do with the subjective experience of not having fun because of a lack of accurate balancing. Sure, you can use a simple metric of “well, is it around a 50% win/loss ratio?” But HOW those wins and losses occur makes a huge difference. If every loss is a blowout, and every win is likewise a blowout, but the ratio is around 50%, that doesn’t automatically make the experience enjoyable. Focusing on stats like these is part of the problem, because they only contain partial information. This is why people need to actually play the game to get a sense of what it FEELS like, not what the numbers look like. As much as Bungie says they also play the game, I have my doubts… because if they did, they would see that their stats don’t tell the story about whether the experience is enjoyable or not.

This is what the current matchmaking is gonna force just gonna have to deal with it
