I've already stopped playing Lightfall content, as it feels like a massive chore, much like taking out the garbage, or doing the diskes, and replaying the witch queen on one of my characters i forgot about. Once I'm done with that then, who knows. Warframe has a large update coming out, that will most likely re-define the game play, yet again. Also Honkai has a fun looking free to play. At this point I'm sorry I bought this expansion instead of Tchai, and in the future will be looking more closely what I actually get for my money when buying a Bungie product.

  • Taking our garbage and doing dishes is a “massive chore”? Lazy much?

I've always enjoyed Warframe, even though I think the learning curve is kind of high for new players. I definitely had to google more for that game than any other. However, even though some of the missions can certainly be repetitive, it feels like there are an endless amount of things to strive for in that game. A casual, once they figure out how to play, can find tons of things to work for without having to be great at the game. Yet, there are hard things for those who want it. And, one thing they have going for it is they don't sunset most of their content. The stuff that was there at the beginning is still mostly there for anyone. A new player may be overwhelmed by all the things to do. But, once they get into it, it's far superior in terms of content. Also, it really is free to play unlike Destiny 2.

  • Totally agree with your take. there is 10 years worth of free content sitting there, and 10 years worth of systems on systems. I think they tried a couple of times to smooth out the new player experience in Warframe, but you still need a decent run at it. If anyone plays this, give it until the 2nd Dream. that was it for me. Every major update the re-define the gameplay adding new things, trying new things, always pushing to be better, and working with the community. I was blown away with the sheer scale of Plains of Eidolon. There is always something to work towards, and you decide on the challenge I'm MR28), and how far you want to go, everything is free (if its doing well at expansion release, and I'm happy about the way the game is going, I'll give them a few bucks in platinum), even the season pass, and there are always players willing to help you.

  • My son got me back into Warframe a while ago. The changes from when I first started are amazing. It is a true Free to Play game - NOTHING is locked behind paywalls of any kind. The game still has a wonderful Power Fantasy. Feel like a mission is a bit tough? Go do some more grinding on other fun things to get your level up, then come back and stomp that level! I remember doing that in Destiny. Now, even that option is gone. Destiny 2 is a Play-it-Bungie's-way game, and this latest offering made that much clearer than ever before. A lot of players are starting to take notice of the limitations in this game. And mention of Warframe and other games is becoming much more commonplace.
