for those of you that did not know before they added exotic functionality to glaives they actually did more significantly more melee damage compared to now but when they allowed the melees to work with glaives they nerfed the base melee damage making them what they are today. the only way to be as strong as they where before is by heavily build into them and now that bungie nerfed the exotic synergy glaives you now get almost no reward for using them personally I would have rather glaive's never see exotic functionality if I knew that they would be put in a state like this
