The Bungie we knew is long gone. And Destiny is likely a harbinger of some very dark times in gaming.
The linked video is from GDC 2023.
And man, it's rough.
While I understand at the end of the day Bungie is a business, and they have to keep up player engagement and gotta make money. Feels like crap to see behind the curtain and realize how much of it is a con.
Recommend giving this a watch for some insight into how things operate.

Just because something is a business doesn’t mean they automatically deserve money. Like I’m in the business of randomly giving my opinion but I don’t get paid 😆
