@Bungie -- you choose and paid for this piece of ... -- it's on YOU to force BE to fix this mess. Until then it's only fair to offer full refunds for LF to customers that cannot use products they bought anymore due to your action (or inaction).

What's happening here?
Steam/Win 11 with default security setup, no third-party AV.
Removed and did file verify and ran "Uninstall_BattlEye.bat" to force uninstall and reinstall on the next D2 start without success.
Any next steps? Disabling Win11 security options is NOT an option -- fix your ***ware instead.

Absolutly nice how u handl this stuff and you take care of those affected. I quit this nice game because of this absolutly imcompetent company and deleat my clan. ..i..

Honestly for the end user to have to disable a rather important security feature (which honestly doesnt work anyways given the amount of cheaters in game) and the fact that Bungie doesnt do anything about it shows exactly what they think about their customers. BattlEye is as much of a dumpster fire as EasyAntiCheat, but atleast EasyAntiCheat doesnt need the highest level of your CPUs security disabled to function.

Whats going on? can´t play the game! i payed for it!!! Is this the way to go @BNGHelp7? Still a problem and u give a -blam!- about it? No wonder that so many players left the game. This is really a blame. Disable this Battleye crap and search for a good anticheat.

Why should I turn off my security just for the sake of a trash anticheat that you can always change and you choose to ignore instead? The game is great! I bought all the expansions without a second thought. But why do you not focus on this problem at all? Uninstalling BattleEye is not an option! I did it and the game tells me to install it back!

Same problem, this is due to Device Security, Kernel-Mode Hardware-Enforced Stack Protection being enabled, which mine is. Though it did disable my earlier today without notifying me. When game/anti cheat needs to reduce the security of my device in order to run it is unacceptable. Bungie please get Battleeye to fix asap.

The whole thing is due to today's update for Windows Defender. Here's an explanation, but in German. I think Battleye has to fix that, or Bungie has to patch the client with the new version. I somehow timed it so that immediately after buying the legacy pack, I ran windows update and then ran destiny after a reboot. At least now I know it wasn't the DLC that broke the game...

Having this same issue now as well. I am not turning off a security feature to fix this. Hopefully this gets resolved soon.

I have the same issue the solution for me was to go to windows security and turn off core and memory protection, the game ran fine after that but your cpu is no longer protected against malware attacks.

I wrote to support for over a year, but did not receive a response. Only answers from the robot. I created a new account and fully bought all the add-ons and for the second day I can not enter the game due to a problem with updating battleye drivers. Only disabling all Win11 security options can help solve problems but this solution is not a solution. Nice work Bungie this is the right way to attract new players and keep old ones

last weeks meltdown, with all the animal errors. i also had a battleye problem. so probably bungo were aware of this problem last week.
