I just feel punished for doing anything in this game. When we find something worth the time, it gets nerfed, I.E. duality on master. Got harder with a delta, and the loot is worse. Strikes are being made longer with no loot increase. Raids are literally the one thing left that not only guarantees loot but doesn't feel way too difficult for that loot..
This games bug list increases almost day to day. If not week to week. And there is no end in sight for this, it seems. Lightfall was supposed to be bug free. And that clearly didn't happen. And I'm afraid to log in every time there is a patch or update.
So, really, the question for destiny now is not whether it should stay on a seasonal model. But can it? Stability wise. With the resources being moved around at bungie, I think the game needs to revisit content releases. So, there is time to fix the problems before launching things.

Downwards. It's direction is straight down. And it's on fire, too.
-
Seasons dont belong in this game, nor do champions and the broken anti-champ mods that only sometimes work.
-
Pretty sure their direction has always been going down hill…

Edited by Cinderchar: 4/20/2023 7:02:07 PMAnymore? Bruh, it's never had a direction. First it's too grindy. Then it's too casual. Now it's too hardcore. Then it's SBMM. Then it's CBMM. Then back to SBMM. First Trials is pinnacle endgame. Now it lets everyone in. First Bungie claim they want everyone to be able to play with their friends. Now you have to invest $100 a year to do that. First story didn't matter. Then it did. Now it doesn't again. Let's do a content vault. Ok now we are done with that. They have literally never had a direction for this game and they just change their mind depending on who they think is playing it the most at any given time. For as good as Destiny has been at its best -- which is not much -- it will have always fallen short of being what it should have been in the long run.

All big companies NERF things all the time, and yes, js AWFUL

As soon as Bungie figures out what their doing, I will let you know.

Down the tubes

Pretty sure they've tweaked xp too. I used to do 183 bounties a day & I'd get 25-26 season ranks. Now I'm lucky to ge 18 ranks & I'm doing the exact same things.

They got Milton in the basement working on it with a threat to take his red stapler if he doesn't meet the timelines.

You get use to it.

This game is in the bogs.

Steady downwards trajectory for some time

Destiny doesn't an I woudl even argue never, had a direction. It jsut meanders through from season to season with a thin story and ever changing meta. IT hasn't really found its identity as it is constantly changin how we play, why we play, what we play for etc.

The game’s direction has been the most consistent in history these last three years. But the tuning of Lightfall was both a game design and a public relations mistake. Without going into too much detail, Bungie (every once in a while) loses sight of the game’s core identity and the power-fantasy (core experience) it is built around. When this happens Bungie goes off on a tangent. Stops paying attention to what the average player wants from the game…and the winds up doing something foolish. Because they start to see the game as their creative playground, rather than entertainment for their customers. I call these times, “We’re Bungie And We Know Best!” Lightfall was one of these ego-driven mis-steps. Fortunately, these miscues seem to be occurring less often, and Bungie seems to admit to them and walk them back faster than in years past. What was refreshing to see was—-given all the negative feedback about how Lightfall felt to play—-Bungie made no effort to defend it. They just accepted the feedback at face value and quickly started getting rid of the disliked changes. Four years ago? That Bungie would have released a TWAB where the devs came out and tried to defend the changes, and explained how they were an important part of their “design philosophy”. In one TWAB, they actually renamed an in-game object as if we only objected to what was being done with it because we somehow didn’t understand it. We understood it just fine. We didn’t like it because it was breaking the game, and making it unenjoyable to play. Hopefully those days at Bungie are gone for good.

Strike loot not better ? Its weird how everyone never talk about the engram you can focus ...what more you want to do regular and hero strike ? Duality ? Are you complaining of the solo checkpoint farm? Its not this much harder than precipitous season ....honestly a bit easier with the removal of match game

Down. Definitely down.
-
I’m shocked it has taken people this long to understand how hard Bungie has been mailing it in. The game has obviously been Minimum Viable product since Shadowkeep lol

If it takes an exploit for the game to be worth your time, then this game isn't for you anymore. Take a break.

In case you were confused, Destiny is starting to wind down. The Final Shape will put a ribbon on the Destiny franchise as we know it.
