Why is the anti-aliasing still terrible!

In the game, there are only two AA options. The first is FXAA which doesn't hand motion very well and makes the image blurrier. The second is SMAA which keeps the image sharp and is decent for handling motion. The problem is, the SMAA implementation in Destiny is horrible and still results in jagged edges and shimmering everywhere, even at a much higher render resolution. I know Bungie probably doesn't care too much about this, but could there please be more AA solutions? If not, could you give players different strength options for the current one like SMAA x1 (which is probably what is currently used), SMAA x2, etc? I know coding is hard (I am currently studying it in college), but I don't think adding stronger options for the current AA solutions would be hard (for crying out loud, you guys completely redesigned the HDR implementation during Witch Queen). Thanks, a guy who cringes at shimmering objects
