I don't know how Steam can hold a "Stealth-Fest"...

No rush; it's just the only game trying to be unique in a sea of cookie cutter, half-baked, under-proofed bullshit. Seriously I'm about to max out my Porter rating for the 3rd time. on my 3rd playthrough. The game is like therapy. Are you depressed? Play Death Stranding and make sure you're online.
Let's face it; the only reason you didn't play it is because some pimply faced 14 y/o with a computer tried stretching his clout with a game that was easy to dogpile on, or you're some game purist that only plays Mario Bros or the 9000th version of CoD, you loser. Fact is Hideo Kojima's studio is the only one out here making High end, High Quality, Detailed Original and unique Digital Interactive Art; and that scares you. So you resort to dumb--blam!- comments like HURRRR It's a WALKING SIMULATOR... It's not a simulator in any way; Stop reading Kotaku, you -blam!- NPC.
The layers of symbolism, the satire on the real world we live in, a scathing critique of Modern systems, and the Modern human... There is so much there. Go play it. You have no clue what you've missed and I guarantee you'll walk away thinking "Huh- Speaker wasn't totally wrong about that"

2 RepliesI will admit, I initially thought the game was rather silly. Don't get me wrong, I think Kojima is a legend and the team surrounding the game was just amazing, but the news about this game was just weird to me. I remember seeing the social media streams for it and I just couldn't make heads or tails of the game. But, I picked it up when it was on offer from Epic Games and MAN was I wrong. I LOVED the story and the gameplay. And the soundtrack went perfectly with it. I'm all in when it comes to a game with a good soundtrack and the featured songs that were picked for the game were just amazing. (Yes, I bought that soundtrack too). I promptly paid for the game at that point. I definitely have to do another playthrough after getting the deluxe edition though. But man, it's such a good game. (Full disclosure, I have not played ANY of the Metal Gear games. Just not my cup of tea. But, I still appreciate them)

Well in answer to your initial question, it’s probably because the [i]MGS Master Collection[/i] is out in a couple of months so they don’t want people to not pay for that. MGS V is actually listed in the sale but it’s not actually discounted. On to Death Stranding and i did play some the other week actually; although it barely ran on my potato laptop so I didn’t get very far before giving up, it did seem like a genuinely unique thing that would be fun to get into properly. Sad that it’s only on the PC games pass else I would definitely play it a bunch on my Xbox. I also love how people hate on walking simulators. Some of my favourite games are walking simulators / visual novels / whatever you want to call them.
