Dear Bungie Developers,
I hope this message finds you well. First and foremost, I want to extend my gratitude for the incredible world of Destiny 2 and the hard work you've invested in crafting this captivating gaming experience. Destiny 2 has provided countless hours of joy for players like myself, and your dedication to continuously refining the game is truly appreciated.
As an ardent Warlock enthusiast, I have noticed a sentiment shared by many within the Warlock community concerning Orb generation. While I understand the importance of maintaining balance across all classes, I would like to humbly request a reevaluation of Orb generation for the Warlock class.
The current limitation on Orb generation from grenades has been a topic of discussion among Warlock players. It has led to a perceived disadvantage compared to other classes that can generate more orbs through their abilities. Considering that Orb generation is a core aspect of Destiny 2's cooperative gameplay, I believe providing Warlocks with an opportunity for increased Orb generation would be a positive step forward.
Rather than suggesting drastic changes, I encourage the implementation of incremental adjustments. These adjustments could come in the form of modified grenade mechanics or new exotic armor synergies to provide Warlocks with a more competitive Orb generation capability. This change would align with the vision of diverse class abilities, fostering a sense of unique identity and role for each Guardian.
Furthermore, I'd like to address the impact of intellect on Warlock builds. While intellect is a valuable stat to enhance Super recharge rates, it has become a near-necessity for Warlocks due to their reliance on Super abilities like Well of Radiance. To promote a more versatile stat balance for Warlocks, I suggest exploring alternative avenues for Super cooldown reduction. By doing so, players can allocate stat points more freely and explore diverse build possibilities that cater to their preferred playstyle without compromising on their Super ability.
I understand that the process of balancing the game is intricate and requires careful consideration of various factors. My intention is not to devalue the efforts put into maintaining fair gameplay for all classes. Instead, I hope to encourage a discussion around the potential for small adjustments that can empower Warlocks to contribute even more effectively to their fireteams.
In conclusion, I want to reiterate my appreciation for Destiny 2 and your ongoing commitment to creating an enriching experience for the community. Your dedication is the driving force behind the game's success. As you continue to evolve the Destiny 2 universe, I kindly request that you take into account the thoughts and sentiments expressed by the Warlock community regarding Orb generation and stat balance. A closer look at these aspects could contribute to enhancing the overall gameplay experience and bolster the sense of satisfaction and pride that Warlock players feel when representing their class.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Your involvement with the community is valued, and I eagerly anticipate the exciting future of Destiny 2.
Sincerely,
Hetrovono

First I would like to say, this is a good post. Next I would like to ask, and this is me trying to understand, from a standpoint of playing as a Warlock. This season being the first I have started to try and focus on one class- Warlock My understanding: since your post focuses on orbs and more so from grenades vs other classes abilities: 1. Don’t all classes have access to all grenades? 2. We all have access to all of the same mods- and then obviously pick the 12 artifact mods to be open- but if a Warlock uses mods that make orbs of power, but then a Hunter or Titan use them same, are those two classes just naturally making more orbs? Assuming: all three characters use the same weapons, and subclasses- arc vs arc vs arc for example? Anyways, just trying to understand as I look into the classes more closely.

Edited by Infamous067: 7/26/2023 7:55:24 PMGood post, bungie will unfortunately not reply. Im a warlock main and I wish well of radiance got removed from the game. Im tired of people constantly expecting me to use that thing for every endgame content. Like why cant I have an absurdly powerful add clear super that heals my allies when they are near me instead? Well is so freaking boring and I hate that it was ever introduced in the game. Heck ill even take sunsinger without the self revive at this point. At least I was able to move around with that super and one shot melee other players while also having the ability to spam my grenades.

Warlocks got shafted heavily with exotic gear tbh 🤦♂️ it's hard to find a good combination to make a quality build
-
Warlocks intrinsically have a much higher hidden aim assist than the other 2 classes, approximately 26%

type this up and mail it to the studio. no one from bungie will read this, but if you send it in a letter it's really likely to end up posted on someone's door for luls. it might brighten their day.

The void warlock setup you’re using right now generates two orbs per grenade kill. What exactly is your issue with orb generation?
-
Post this to Reddit or twitter the devs check there sadly they dont ever look here.
-
This is no joke, as a warlock I've tried to build into orb production but no luck. I recently ran a salvage whe I had 270 kills and created 20 orbs and a void hunter had 50 kills with 65 orbs created, I only play warlock so I don't understand this..
-
I’m a Warlock main and have no issues with orb generation at all. With that said, such a well stated and written post is still deserving of an upvote. Enjoy the upvote. More orbs is never a bad thing.

Orbs feel a bit busted on Hunter even, I was getting like 1 orb every 3-4 weapon kills lately even with 2 mods. Works 1:1 on powered melee tho
-
This is a breath of fresh air for the forums bump
-
I made a ARC Warlock with Trinity Ghoul, that can make 2 Orbs and 2 Ionic Traces per Kill.
