I completely understand your point, where I think your missing the point of the original post.. Its biased to assume someone struggles because of their build, there are a lot of reasons with this game to struggle at end game content especially. a big part of that is the community demanding newer players to have guided titles or specific items/builds. On a realistic term this is a video game. most people aren't going to sink that many hours into it ( from their personal time) just to play end game content, if they didn't make it so difficult to obtain & play the game more players would actually play that content like in D1. I totally understand your not saying get good, im just saying a video game shouldn't need to consume so many hours of our lives to get to the end game content

OK that's all fine and dandy to learn the game. I know the game and the activies lol but I get kicked out lfg's this week alone everytime for the GM not because I was bad or anything but because my light level is 1813. the Cap effectiveness is 1815. that only tells me the user bases perception is your not good if your not around 1830. I get your points which is great but we're arguing from two sides of the same coin. your clearly a very consistent player so you kick the newer guy just cause its easier to replace them, that's the core problem with this game. but I doubt you wouldn't of kicked him if he didn't need to have a sword to complete that encounter if there were other viable options

This sounds more like you're talking about a single-player game as opposed to one like Destiny.

D1 did something that was great which was making end game content (raids) challenging but not impossible for new players. in D2 everything is a challenge. from lost sectors & nightfalls to dungeons to raids unless you grind for all the best builds & weapons which most people won't do. I just miss the game being fun which honestly it isn't for someone like me.

But that's more on the player than the game itself. End-game content is optional, not a requirement. It can be enjoyed just fine without running dungeons or raids; I've played D1/D2 since 2016-ish and only started doing end-game activities during Season of the Seraph.

Edited by Paradox: 7/28/2023 3:33:52 AMNot really on the player anymore. the game is going more toward the direction of it being a requirement with the pinnacle system unless your okay waiting a while to hit the hard cap. not to mention ranks also requires you to do that end game content. which would be fine if the community was more relaxed about it Idk I think i have formed my own opinion on the community going down this toxic path because the games activities have become more of a challenge in general

That's true; considering so many claim Rank doesn't mean anything, a lot of people play that card like a K/D score. A lot of it is a matter of paying attention to the forum, though. I've started to notice more posts (not a lot, but more) from people offering to help others with difficult content with no strings or fees attached.

I hope that's true, most of the fireteam post I see are always asking for the sweats lol gotta have guilded this or that or don't bother/gotta have certain weapons or builds etc.. idk man just leaves a bad taste in your mouth especially for new players that run into a toxic person here and there and just quit the game which sucks. I also hate when you take a break from this game you basically get punished for it too. last season I was running these activities no problem with more so chill people than this season for sure

Yeah, I get that. Honestly, for some reason I was unable to make LFG posts for a long time. Today, since I decided to see how high could raise my Rank before the end of the season, I gave it another try, and it actually worked. So, with a bit of luck, I'm aiming to finish a few seals and maybe even hit Rank 9. I just have to make sure I make it clear in my post what sort of team I'm looking for and I won't hesitate to boot someone for being a pr*ck. If someone struggles or has difficulty, hey, I've been there; so long as a person gives it their best effort, I can't ask for more.
