Cliff notes and highlights, not actual full on explanations, that would take weeks, seperated to be easier to read [b]Ritual Updates:[/b] 1. Doing 9 strikes a week to get exotic engrams, good, lets the pvp stay pvp and pve stay pve 2. Focusing during that season, also good choice 3. New weapons, well not really much change there besides some old things being unvaulted (As expected), new handcannon archtype...so burst hand cannons are going to be a thing for the future, great. [b]Guardians vs Guardians:[/b] 1. New game modes are nice, but when they rotate out for the old stuff, it will get dull, new maps were needed or updates to maps were needed to change the gameplay. Take disjunction: everyone either runs up the middle or goes outside, not many people are willing to swing towards the tree unless their heavy there. Gameplay gets dull when no matter what, thats what happens besides the random person who breaks the mold and gets killed for it. 2. Taking away growing content because of the "Lack of resources" is a joke, i recall them saying that the sales from the spindle oranament bundles ALONE paid for the exotic mission in the tower. (Not to mention the dungeon pass) Hire more people, charge less for eververse items so more people buy them, (In my head, spending $15-$30 for all 3 character exclusive skins from the store, is better than spending $60 for them, as more people can afford to spend 5-10 on a skin than people who spend 20 per skin) 3. New map, i sense alot of people will run stasis on it, just to wall people or slow them to death Old map, oh boy, thats going to be fun to fight stasis and strand on citadel again....great... 4. New gamemodes: Relic mayhem and....alright, sweet business people, we are playing chess now Interesting ideas, but not worth it as they are simply going to rotate out after about a week or so of an experience that will either make people hate the game mode, or fall in love with crucible to simply never touch it again. 5. Matchmaking improvements, nice, less fighting an uphill battle against a communication stack of guardians as a solo player...(Praying) [b]Vanguard:[/b] 1. Medals returning...cool, something to fill my screen from imminent death just to let me know that my flawless run is going well. 2."While this can come at the cost of other content in a given year, we feel this exchange has been worth the extra investment for the overall health of our playlists". ADDING BATTLEGROUNDS AS GRANDMASTERS IS A BAD IDEA...Its literally a bullet hell with no end in sight most of the time, praying to the gods that a cheesy spot still exists to survive. MAKE MORE STRIKES, LESS ONE OFF BATTLEGROUNDS. You have entire sections of the world left untouched, hell, use the black armory portal on nessus as a final boss fight for a strike, that would be cool as hell. 3. Make strikes, just..make more strikes, and make battlegrounds its own playlist, for all that is good, just do better. [b]GAMBIT:[/b] 1. I despise gambit, i honestly do, so hearing that its going on life support did bring me some joy, but i do feel bad for those that care for it and play it. 2. Basing the reasons to move resources around to player activity, is the stupidest reason EVER to do anything with a video game. People don't play it, because again, nothing fundamental has changed. Example: Earth map: Enemies spawn left, everyone goes left, enemies spawn right, everyone runs across the map to the right, bank time, who banks first, who drains first, who got lucky and had all their motes STAY ON THE SURFACE, deposit motes making that choice, rinse and repeat till defeat or victory. 2.5: My honest suggestion is this. split gambit into 2 mode, one PVEVP and the other PVE, the first mode will be gambit as an updated version of its current form. The PVE mode will be a fireteam of 4, goes in and survives against increasing waves of adds (YES< GAMBIT MAP FIREFIGHT/Prison of elders) with random introductions of defending the center machine, where players can spend motes for ammo, increased recharge on abilities, emergency bubbles, and the final one, a super recharger which costs the most. After X number of waves, players are given a choice, leave with their loot, or fight against tougher/random foes to get better loot, ending at XX waves which has the highest rep/loot chance for the entire group, if they vote no, the match ends there and they can reque or go do something else. 3. Gambit is on life support...either pull the plug and just remove it, or actually try to fix it, doing ehat your doing for the sake of "Resources" seems silly to me. [b]Armor Set Rewards:[/b] 1. I agree with everyone on this, the reason we dont wear that armor, is that its: A. Worse looking than any other set in the game, B. Eververse armor sets ALWAYS look better, C. the number of events that get brand new armor makes it impossible to care for them, and D. When you haven't changed something in a year+, you end up with people not caring that it exists. 1.5. My suggestion, Take something that lost a vote for an event, and rebrand it to the ritual playlists. or take 3 sets of armor from eververse (Previous, Current, or new), and slap them into the ritual vendors. People will play gambit if the drifter sells armor that makes people look like bugs. Considering that your still request we play dares of eternity for chests that have long been open, proves that point, that the armor is a driving force to play a game mode. 2. trials and iron banner armor, saw it coming and honestly, ill wait till people stop caring or next season/year to grind where all the armor will simply be in the lootpool anyways or can be focussed. [b]Game security and stability:[/b] 1. Simple, fine, whatever floats your boat, doesnt affect me, just don't say these people have to be cheating as we banned them, just in case your wrong. 2.Less error codes, neat [b]Seasonal Structure:[/b] 1. Nothing really of note here [b] Quality of life updates: [/b] 1. Cosmetic favoriting: should have been a thing since year 1 2. Stasis fragments: give me back my year of having to deal with quests and hunting things all to complete those stupid pyramid nonsense BUNGO! 3. Transmats: should have been a thing since year 1 3.5: Sparrows: so, when are we getting a similar update to sparrows, to make it so we can change the engine/horn/boost color/shader/perks/ boost gauge on them? I would love it so you can just change the shell, and if you get the always on time, you get a special engine that is what is used in the always on time, which unlocks the free perk of "Enemies notice you less". That way, people who have it can just use it as is, or people who don't have it, have a reason to grab it. 4.Wish ender:...thats still a thing...huh....even though the entire story as to why thats there or even the start of it was lost in the great vaulting...oh well 5.Resource tab: I sense a disturbance in the servers...ALL IS LOST!? 6. Iron banner changes: thank the gods 7. Ritual rank ups: neat, dont care, gambit still dead [b]Sandbox updates[/b] 1. More strand aspects..great, not like any other light class needs more aspects to change the game, no sir, we are all good there with our 3 choices. 2. exotic armor reworks: i hope they make it so some armors just give you a free aspect (Wings of sacred dawn: Equips Heat rises aspect +1 fragment slot,( Sacrifice your exotic armor slot for more versatility with abilities/ fragments)) 3. New weapon subfamilies...so burst handcannons, crossbows, burst smgs, etc etc...expect nothing less after you murdered my hopes of supercell coming back...still praying for dregs promise And thats it, after that it goes into the usual nonsense of stay tuned for more from the showcase Besides the little tidbit thats stating that the exotic grenade launcher and exotic bow alongside DMT will be craftable...that horrifies me. Pathfinder meh, and a recap of a recap of a story you murdered...great.
