Hi there! What is your NAT as reported by the game? You can check this in the Gameplay section of your Settings tab. It is listed under STUN Type.

  • If your NAT is open and you are experiencing these error codes, then something may not be communicating correctly with the Destiny 2 servers. You mentioned earlier that you have spoken with your ISP about this already. Have you had them check your modem to ensure there is no RF bleed or signal degradation on your modem? Have you mentioned to them that you connected to a different network and it worked fine? Connecting to an outside network, such a wireless hotspot, normally confirms that something on your home network path is causing an issue with connecting to the servers. Have you made any changes before this started happening?

  • Did you deactivate Cross Save? Once you deactivate Cross Save, your characters will return to their original platform and Cross Save cannot be reactivated for 90 days.

  • Disabling Cross Save is never advised to be done to troubleshoot any issues, as disabling Cross Save cannot be reverted and the cooldown cannot be lifted or shortened for any reason. [quote] Cross Save does NOT cause WEASEL errors. Players who attempt to log in to multiple platforms simultaneously while Cross Save is enabled on their account will receive a WEASEL error on which ever platform they logged in on first. • Error code ANTEATER is a general network connectivity error and has no bearing on your Cross Save status. It ultimately depends on what changes your ISP has made recently, as well as any network changes you may have made. ISPs make changes to secure their infrastructure all the time. Sometimes, these changes can cause connectivity issues for certain services or platforms. Only your ISP can provide that insight and any pathways to report any problems with these changes. Also, playing other games or using other services is not a gold standard when it comes to troubleshooting an issue with one game. It can rule out if you can get online, but that is about it. All games have unique connection mechanisms and pathways to get online. At no point did I question your internet speed, I simply am noting that there can be factors at play when it comes to your internet connection that could cause packet loss or other connectivity issues. Internet speeds is not as important as internet stability and reliability. If you have a fast internet connection, but you are always at a 10% packet loss (as an example), then you would be more prone to connectivity errors versus someone with a slower internet connection, but is at a 0% packet loss.

  • Have you ran a Internet diagnostic from your end??? Have you looked into data loss rates. You say "super fast Internet" but the number you give is way more than a household would ever need. D2 is recommended only for 1meg up and another 1meg down (in fact most players recommended 5meg each way). In fact the number you give sounds more like what a Internet salesman would say. As for "this plays fine" is not a true test of your Internet. All games and apps are different with D1 and D2 needing a higher than average Internet signal quality more than Internet speeds. Ps. From experience most ISPs when they run a remote test (and even a engineer at your house) will say everything is fine but their "fine" is not up to modern gaming needs. Which is why you should run the tests yourself.

You really didnt read the original post did you? you also must be ignorant to what fiber internet speeds are.

  • You need to cover... Up and down speeds (yes you need to consider them separately). NAT. Data loss rates. Signal latency. Jitter. So what are they?

  • Speeds are nearly irrelevant in these conversations. I have 50d/5u internet & have no issues (aside from widespread platform or isp issues). So maybe stop being so rude when you think only speed matters in a connection.
