Two Tailed Fox' interaction with surge mods has been heavily disrupted
The changes to Two Tailed Fox come with a small base damage buff (+6.5%) the changes have disrupted its ability to use solar and void surge mods. And even the effectiveness of arc is limited
The surge mods are now only active, while two tailed fox shows the corresponding element, void mods are active before firing, solar is active between 1st and 2nd rocket. Arc is active 2nd rocket onward.
From what my testing shows:
void mods are effective to a tiny amount (4% buff with 3 mods)
solar mods are not effective (0% buff with 3 mods)
Arc mods are somewhat effective but worse than intended (20.7%)
With 3 surge mods (any light pre change, arc post change) it has an effective damage per shot buff of +2%
Compared to the maybe bugged pre change ideal surge layout (2 of one light 1 of another) it comes out to a 3.5% damage nerf
Is this all intended? Ever since the jolt nerfs it fell out of meta competely
On other notes. It now only accepts arc reloader mods (or void if changed off and on again) and void reserves are still best
Even if Two Tailed fox was able to benefit from any amount of surges at the same time. The max buff (without exotic armor) would be 1.1^3 = 1.331 = +33.1% with one arc, solar and void surge it would not outshine the current gjallarhorn legendary combo.
