In a comparison of class abilities, dodge is essentially useless. For anyone who plays the hunter subclass, you should have figured out by now that you do not "dodge". Simply put you "hop" and your hit box gets stretched over the entirety of the animation. when compared to the other subclass' abilities, dodge is useless without an exotic armor piece to compliment it and even then it is very much outclassed

Um, well there is invincibility on arc, crazy stats on solar, slow on stasis, reloading, extra melee charge, spammability, inexpensive movement tech, etc.
