Bungie should make a Season of Patrol
We should get a Season of Patrol where the seasonal activity is to Patrol, and the harder you patrol the more experience you earn.
And then Cayde-6 makes a surprise appearance in a live event at the end of the season. He appears as a vision or something and says, [b]"Hey kiddo, I saw how hard you were Patrolling. I guess it really was the Season of Patrol."[/b] and then he disappears as a gust of wind blows the vision of him away as leaves and cherry blossoms scatter across where he stood.
and the seasonal exotic is called "Patroleum"
It's a primary solar auto rifle that literally spawns solar grenades at the corpse of an enemy that you kill and also has a chance to spawn solar grenades during sustained damage. Also if a solar grenade from this auto rifle kills an enemy it spawns Wolf Pack rounds where that enemy died and if THOSE wolf pack rounds kill an enemy it spawns sunspot at their body. All of these can chain to clear an entire room in one kill. also it has max stats, 450 rpm
It also does more damage on Sundays but only from 12:00PM to 5:00PM for some reason

I used to look forward every week to running the Cayde hidden chest that were randomly placed around worlds in out of the normal areas. It was fun running with a clan mate and trying to find them. It caused you to visit a lot of areas on the maps you normally don't go in.

I mean - they make HUGE spaces for raids for 5% of players that raid, but can't repurpose those spaces as patrol for the 95% players that don't? How much work does it require to just put whatever enemies in a raid space, few chests and that's it?

Pat loved patrolling so much that when the ghost revived him he arrested him for refusing to id. Pat was a Titan. Boy he liked dressing up, patrolling those zones. Pat Roller fell while on patrol in the EDZ, his ghost apparently decided he have had enough.

I knew that soon as I saw you, I was in love and amazed by your patrolling. I remember that you were struggling with the 3 yellow bar Hive creatures, living underground near the railway tracks.
