Honestly, just auto complete the necrochasm quest for everyone. You've already given it to those who finished contest AND to a ton of people who didnt. What's the harm at this point? Especially since this "quest" is so poorly implemented. One per account per week is insane, even farming regular raid exotics is one per character per week. The only reason it was autocompleted at all was so you wouldn't have the big streamers breathing down your neck about this. At this point it is nothing but a punishment for the everyday player who will probably take 20+ weeks to even see the gun, let alone the catalyst. I know a bunch of players jumping into the raid to bang their heads against the wall will look great for "engagement" on paper, but come on. Every delivery in this game recently has been a promise of "at a later date" or some other ambiguous time frame. I know you guys are at least a little concerned about player sentiment, so please just throw us a bone for once and actually deliver something cool for the players to use and enjoy.
IThey should 100% buff the drop rate for the non-guaranteed drops. I wouldn't argue with getting my catalyst faster lol.
I will say that even if it took 20 raids to guarantee the exotic, that's a LOT better than what some people have had to endure for the pure-RNG raid exotics. There's people double and triple that with no conditional finality, collective obligation, etc.
