Unfortunately, Bungie cannot assist in compromised accounts. Bungie.net uses platform authentication to login to the site. Which means, basically, you login to xbox/psn/steam/epic and they generate a token that allows you to sign into Bungie.net. Bungie, themselves have no access to your login details, so they cannot verify if you are the owner of the account or the person who compromised the account, so the requirement was made that to make changes to cross save, all accounts must be authenticated and to remove a linked account, cross save cannot be enabled and you will have to authenticate the account you are removing.

You honestly be ok with that your account with 3k plus hours just been told sorry bud but for 90 days this guy can do what he wants. I mean at that point why not hand out tips to these f ing hackers and say if you steal someones account just sign up for cross save first thing cause bungie will clap you on while u f the guy you stole from in the a.

I would not be happy about having an account compromised, I would understand that there are limits as to what different companies can do to rectify the situation. The 90 days you are mentioning, there is no cool down regarding removing an account that you cannot authenticate. In your case, before removing an account, you will have to turn off cross save, meaning you will need the login info for your PSN, Xbox, Steam, and Epic. In your post, it sounded like you needed one removed as it was not your account, the cool down wont change the need to authenticate

I DID EVERYTHING i could to protect my account changed every passwords and every 2 step whatever and all because of cross save being a stupidly designed trash he can still access my d2 account and do w/e f he wants cause bungie gives me the middle finger how in the world at that point is bungie not to blame I didn't ask to be hacked and cause he knew about cross save and it's stupid inner loop holes he can just do w/e I don't understand your defence sorry

I have no idea man and I am sick of being forced to literal beg support teams at steam and bungie to help me why should I be punished for something out of my control why in the world am being forced to fight for something out of my control I cannot understand how this guy is being given a free pass to screw me over whilst I am getting legal BS about how a multiple billion dollar company has 0 Defences for someone doing this I don't Understand how I am Having to beg for help like wtf
