How is anyone being griefed in an event that you can't fail, even if you try.

Irrespective of rewards though, it's just kind of a sh*tty thing to do regardless? If you have two teammates who are trying to play though an activity and you decide not to participate because it doesn't personally benefit you then that's still a d*ck move.

Then do a normal run. Same amount of pages ..less effort.

So it takes a little longer to get all the pages done. Where is the harm? It's like 150 pages more or less anyway and you have normal mode to farm out 15-14 headless a run in. In PvP, yes. In dungeons, yes. In exotic missions, yes. In raids, yes. In Savathun's tower, yes. In Salvage, yes. In Battlegrounds, yes. But a haunted lost sector? Sorry this is not a big deal. It's not even a deal or a little deal. It's nothing.

Stop acting overly dramatic. If you are using matchmaking it does not matter whether someone AFKs or not. You are not saving any time since both end up lasting 5 minutes before the boss spawns. You are going to die about the same amount too. This is an event with no way to fail it. Take a chill pill. You are ruining your own experience by taking this event more seriously than it deserves. Like why do you care more than the devs? If bungie wanted this Haunted Legends to be a try hard activity they would have tied the engrams and mementos to performance instead of just killing the boss. But they didn't.

It's absolutely wild to me that people are saying that expecting my teammates to contribute is "taking the event too seriously" when in reality it's like the bare minimum.

First of all, this is destiny 2, the bare minimum is too high of a standard for this player base. See all the posts saying that the game is too hard and that they should get trails adepts by just playing 7 games. Secondly, the moment you start going out of your way to bypass the censors just to swear at people AFKing in a nothing event like a haunted lost sector, you have gone a few too many steps past "just having bare minimum" and went straight into treating event this more seriously than it is worth. It's a turn of your brain and win activity. Treat is appropriately.
