🤦 The last thing a bunch of failing devs needs, is some complete novices best guess at what could save a multibillion dollar franchise. Sit down.

  • Not bitter, just willing to consider that the company of thousands of highly trained professionals is likely more knowledgeable in the field they specialise in than a random nobody? There’s also the fact this isn’t exclusive to Bungie, naughty dog laid off twice the % of their workers that Bungie did. CD projekt red also has had massive lay offs. These problems are industry wide, and the remedy isn’t some gormless mop buckets best guess.

  • You think so? If you’re right why have they basically already been failing? Maybe they could use some advice from a 14 year old.

  • Because the AAA game development cycle is becoming nonviable.

  • Nah youre wrong. Bro is being more productive than both bungie and you.

  • Pretending that this issue that is plaguing a large portion of the largest developers can be exclusively blamed of incompetence is a gross oversimplification. The reality is much more terrifying, that these people are actually professionals and it’s still not enough.

  • No I definitely think it can be reasonably simplified to incompetence. And regardless, you have strayed too far from the original post

  • No, I haven’t. You’re just completely out of your depth.

  • I understand that youre bungies biggest fan and that your life revolves around destiny 2, but it would be healthy for you to spend some time away from the internet

  • Check my match history dude. I’m not one of Bungie’s fans, I actually despise destiny and I’m really enjoying seeing it burn. But this is bigger than Bungie, these issues are industry wide. Naughty dog, creators of the last of us fired nearly double the people Bungie did. Same story with CD projekt red. Two beloved developers who make high quality games, are having their business models collapse and fail in a really ugly way. This problem is extremely complex, and the gaming industry is on the verge of collapse.

  • Yeah but Destiny could have kept Bungie afloat and successful had Bungie not been Bungie. When a game company tells their customers that they purposely under deliver - then a few weeks later admit the money we pay for the game isn’t being spent on the game (which is almost certainly why the under deliver). Guess what, it makes people mad. So Bungie being Bungie is Bungie’s problem. Not the gaming industry. Destiny always had the potential to be one of the best games of all time and Bungie always (intentionally) kept from being even half of what it could be.

  • To be fair, the experienced management team haven’t been doing that great. Some beginner’s luck could be a good thing!

  • That’s an extremely arrogant perspective, no actually. The problem is much worse. There are also cuts at naughty dog snd CD project red. Titans of the industry are suffering, the games industry as a whole is in real danger, the only games that are truly profitable are mobile store garbage. Idea people are worth nothing. If you haven’t taken the time to learn a discipline and you can’t manifest your ideas into reality, then don’t speak. You severely lack the experience necessary to be giving advice.

  • You are the one who needs to be quiet and stop being so abusive and insulting to people. Who on earth do you think you are. Reported and blocked.

I wouldn’t waste my time talking to someone that’s so obnoxious in real life (although it’s a very rare occasion that someone actually behaves like that). It’s far more prevalent here, I just block them and move on.

You have nothing to report me for 🤷 If my message constitutes “abuse and insults” to you, then you have lived a very comfortable life.

In case you’ve forgotten, this is a feedback forum created by BHQ. The fact that they seem to ignore and disregard this Community - ever since D1Y1, has not gone unnoticed. Any Guardian (customer) is entitled to give feedback on here, whether positive or otherwise. There are numerous posts about how Guardians’ aren’t buying enough in the EverWorse outlet, or that Guardians are somehow responsible for the gaming industry’s current layoff situation - especially in BHQ; or the arrogance of some who claim the Devs have enough ideas before breakfast to make things great - so, st eff u. 🙄SMH BHQ blew it - again. And a tipping point was reached. We don’t trust BHQ. We don’t believe BHQ. We’ve been listening to too much bs for far too long… D2 is virtually dead…and it was BHQ that killed it. Imho: for Destiny to survive, D2 needs to go on life support. D3 needs to happen. Transparency and respectful engagement with the Guardian Community needs to be a priority. The upper tier of mismanagement at BHQ needs to be removed in its entirety. Proper stewardship of the Destiny franchise by Sony and other shareholders needs to happen pdq, and be sustained. And other initiatives could be introduced for D3, eg, subscription model / PlayStation exclusive / dedicated regional servers / proper PvP league / ‘Fast Pass’ option / etc. But, hey, what do I know?! 🧐 Well, I know that I’m looking forward to ending my 10-year compact with D1 / D2…though I’m in no rush to throw money at a sinking ship - especially one where the real rats are the ones at the helm…and have thrown many of the loyal crew overboard. 😡 BHQ responds: ‘we’re listening’ 🤥 / maintain radio silence / cue <crickets > 🤡🤡🤡 Guardians’ reply: We ain’t…not anymore! 🤬 Ease springs, y’all… 🫡
