Titans gets picked on badly now because they have barely been been picked on at all until recently. Hunters and Warlocks has been eating it most of the time. It's only fair. Better late than never.

  • Not true, every class has had its nerfs and bad moments. Titans have had plenty of nerfs such as stasis being ran into the ground, shoulder charge being changed all the time and various exotics being changed or nerfed. Every class suffers and gains the same

  • Stasis was nerfed in 2020, that’s not recently.

  • Not at all. Titans have gotten off easy so many times compared to the other classes. Stomp-ees VS Dunemarchers: Stomp-ees initially boosted sprint speed, slide distance, jump height and mid-air speeds. Got nerfed into requiring your class ability charged to benefit from it. Dunemarchers boosted sprint speed and built up arc energy while sprinting. Punch something to unleash the energy, effectively killing off the punched guy, and everyone unobstructed within 20 meters got zapped. Got nerfed with a small damage reduction and range reduced to 12 meters (which is longer than most shotguns do solid damage btw). See a difference? *Stomp-ees class ability requirement gets reverted in s23....and changed to reduced in-air movement speed...effectively removing the main thing people use them for. Throws a ice bag on the first only to hammer down somewhere else instead. Shoulder Charges VS any other Titan/Hunter/Warlock melee: Got nerfed to have a 15% energy drain on whiffs whereas all other melees except Hunter Combination- and Disorienting Blows and Warlock Chain Lightning lose all energy on whiffs, without nerfs. Hunters can Gambler's Dodge to fill their melee energy, which saw an increased cooldown duration some time ago - now taking almost 20 seconds to recharge at 100 mobility. Shoulder Charges takes 7 seconds to recharge that 15% energy at 100 strength and does not require using your Class ability. Warlocks have nothing. As for the Hunter and Warlock melees that do not lose energy on misses, neither functions as movement options and all deal less damage with less reach than Shoulder Charges. Combination Blow heals and buffs melee damage on kill, but no increased reach. Disorienting stuns (if it works as intended, rarely does) but no other buffs. Chain Lightning chains with diminishing returns and no extra damage on the first hit. Seismic Strike yeets you forward, deals bonus damage and blinds enemies in an area around whomever got hit. Also knocks the victim back, making counterattacks next to impossible. Shield Strike disables Supers for the victim and anyone nearby on hit through Suppression. Also deals bonus damage, yeets you forward and knocks the victim back - again making counterplays difficult. Hammer Strike is probably the most balanced of the three - we still have the yeet forward, bonus damage and knockback but beyond that we only have scorch burn DoT (and ignitions on kill) - scorching being something the other classes can do too. I have a lot more examples of Hunters and Warlocks getting shafted while Titans gets tickled at best but this post is already long enough. Do let me know if you want those as well.

  • Titans also had the worst forsaken release supers, some of the worst skill trees the games ever seen (you don't remember release siegebreaker) and plenty of absolutely worthless exotics that to this day after MULTIPLE buffs nobody uses. Titans get leeway because their kit is so focused that WITHOUT power they flat out suck. Bubble used to be the worst super in the game until they GAVE IT BACK weapons of light AFTER well came out. Shoulder charge was nerfed to the point it literally stopped working and then HAD to be rebuffed because it was so bad. Titans have more or less been surviving off of the insane reworks they were given back when the element based updates came out. Knockout used to be AWFUL. Sunspots were TERRIBLE. Sentinel was only good because of it's super. Warlocks have also gotten big leeway. Updated dawnblade was the best super in pvp for a while and it's reworked class was and still is a great subclass. Release shadebinder was the best subclass this games ever had and was nerfed terribly (but was eventually retuned and is STILL better than behemoth). Stormcaller sucks. Chaos reach was a good super after they fixed it's tick rate but took people forever to realize it was actually crazy (just like stormcaller was after they destroyed sunbreaker in d1). I could do this for hunters too. Over 6 months of getting one shot by shatter dive which had absolutely no interaction or counter. Blade barrage was CRAZY until they changed how it deals it's damage in pvp. Night stalker was one of the best subclasses ending in d1 and made a major comeback with spectral blades. Don't say that titan get it too easy for too long, cause they were the absolute worst pve class in the game on release by far and it took like 4 years to change that. Then they've done nothing to them besides nerf because their initial reworks were just so strong. Voids the only titan subclass that even changed with the 3.0 updates. But let's also not forget that titans have practically duplicate supers galore and are getting out first new one off super in like 7 years. Theres been struggles.

This. I know I main Titan but I started building my Warlock back in Shadowkeep as I didn't think Titan would be useful then Stasis came out so I decided I'd stick to Titan till the end of Stasis updates not even halfway through it started falling again so once more I was building my Warlock but then they announced light 3.0 so I stayed and unlike Stasis it kept my attention but after all the nerfs to the point only Solar was pve viable I was starting to regret it. Strand came out I liked it and stayed and now I learned once again I really should stop and just swap classes. Edit: Knowing me I'm gonna start building then decide maybe the new super will save void in pve or the next season exotic is gonna convince me that "maybe" it won't be so bad then I'm gonna regret it again.
