I started my NL adventure about 1 month before Season of the Seraph started in 2022. I was a F2P player, and always asked why I didn't have any DLCs or season pass. Being new, I wasn't sure if I wanted to or not until I got to know the game, and to see what was available to a free vs paid player. I also checked here (in forums) and on X (Twitter before it was X) to see a consensus of opinions about D2 and all. As it stands now, I'm glad I never spent a single dollar on this game. Consistent errors, glitches, boots to orbit (Xbox on good internet - framerate may be an issue but that's beside the point), items being sunset, nerfed, nerfed again, mods being altered, eliminated, more and more content being locked behind paywalls or removed all together (I used to be able to do Eris bounties on the moon - not anymore for awhile now. Why? Moon bounties a high-end activity now?), on and on. Devs and techs laid off, which canNOT be a good thing, responses to players are almost non-existent now right after "they" said "they" would be more involved in social media posts, which brings us to now... New season!!! Oh, wait... no new exotics? Dragon's breath weapon perk? (from what I've read... this is nothing new) And now... Now... because of the Nightfall rotation, every 3 to 4 ordinary Vanguard Ops I run, I'm locked out of because it requires Destiny 2 Witch Queen DLC. When the hell did a low-tier Vanguard Op become locked behind a paywall? Granted going to orbit or anywhere else and loading back in usually rotates the Op to one I can do... but is that really necessary? Hear me out... Last few weeks, there was a NF that was WQ oriented that I couldn't do because I didn't have the DLC. but... BUT.. I could do the same one in Van Ops. I've done Psi Ops battleground thru Van, Warden of Nothing thru Van, pretty much any and all "strikes" were open to me thru Van Ops. Not this time. Is this "their" way of saying pay or get out? If so... buh bye. Have fun with your streamers that hack and mod their way (not all but I'm sure there's some) thru your GMNF and such. Glad their dollar is that important to you. Have fun raking your fingers thru people's wallets to provide them dusty old crumbs "you" swept off the floor from years ago. My wallet is locked up and I melted the key... "You're" not allowed in it. Last Wish... seems like it's a metaphor for "you're" last wish being "you" still get money from players who hoped for more, but got dust instead. I was even stocking up on Bright Dust to see what I wanted to get from EV come Dawning Season... But now I'm not so sure I'll be here for it. Glad I never spent a single dollar on this -blam!- game.
