Choice is never a bad thing.
You seem to be under the presumption that the total number of PvP players would still be playing even if their favourite game mode is not present. I personally wouldn't, I am not that addicted...

I did not say remove all choice. I said reduce number of choices in order to help improve the density of players within each mode, and therefore improve the connection quality within matches.

Again, you seem to take it for granted that the same number of players would play notwithstanding for some their favourite game mode isn't there anymore. Consider this, you think that too many different modes split the player base, but that also inherently means that you know players have different tastes in game modes, so different players willingly choose to play different game modes, and yet your solution is to force a good chunk of them to play what they wouldn't be playing if they had the choice; do you honestly believe that is going to work? Force someone to play "obtorto collo"? I can't see that working well at all for Bungie...

Edited by PhysioMage: 12/17/2023 4:11:41 PMThe history of player population trends make it pretty clear that it would result in a net benefit within this context. I don't know why you're trying to frame this as some kind of morally bankrupt idea by using terms and phrases such as forcing players into things and acting so indignant in questioning if I think it would work. The game necessarily "forces" us into things already by that logic since we cannot vote on what modes are available to us, are you serious lol? It's not a moral issue, and yes, I absolutely believe it would work or I wouldn't have posted it. What the heck lol.

So.. That argument still applies during week days. The only variable is trials. Wich one should they remove during weekends?

I don't particularly care. I would rather have better quality connections within the games that are available though. That's my focus with this post.
