I don't disagree with how s*Itty the new light experience is. However, there's also what seems like a lot of instant gratification feet stomping around here too. "I want what I want when I want it!" Like it's too much to ask to know that good gear comes with time, skill comes with practice, and that it pays to have a little patience. Read a post the other day here that said to the effect of, "played Coil for the first time and died to a trap. If you don't take them out of the game, I won't play it again. " Ridiculous mentality. I'm all for helping someone if they actually want to learn and understand they have to work towards something, but a lot of what I see here have the expectation to beat something first try and get their "god roll" immediately.

That's said, I still want casuals and new lights to have a definitive path to a proper foundation so they can't demand the game be made easier. I tried to make clear I don't want perfect armor just given out. No triple 100s, just a way to see how spiked stats feel. I see so many people with completely balanced armor and they play like crap and wonder why. But yes, people should learn the systems and put in the time to reap the benefits of constructing a build. I thought this might help a pain point though. I appreciate you responding.

  • Absolutely. I can see that you're trying help in a way that doesn't diminish the efforts of long time players. Help is fine, encouraged even, handouts are another.

  • I never expect handouts & roll with 102 resilience, cleared lost sectors to get every pc of gear up until b4 lightfall & I find current lost sectors outrageous & I've cleared masters b4. I despise this seasons activities& I've been playing since taken king. I don't mind a challenge but current state really makes me dislike the game. Certainly not the best player but I could manage b4. This just isn't fun.
