Should the Hunter's Gunpowder Gamble instantly kill the user if shot out of the air at close range? I would argue against it.
Reasoning: Players are constantly required to assess the distance at which the explosive can be safely detonated. Being penalized for inadvertently shooting the Gunpowder Gamble too close to oneself, resulting in self-inflicted harm, seems unfair. While it's true that standard grenades can cause damage, severe injury, or even occasional self-inflicted harm if one is too close to the explosion, the unique ability to shoot the Gunpowder Gamble in mid-air sets it apart. Given this distinct trait, it seems unjust to impose a severe penalty on players for utilizing this feature.
These are my personal thoughts on the matter.

As you said, you gotta calculate the safe distance to shoot it from. Of course it should kill you if you shoot an explosive right in front of you. If you accidentally shoot your explosive from point-blank, that’s on you.
