Tip of the Day: Acceptance

This game's player base has to by far the most diverse in the industry relative to their desired play styles. One would think that having a huge player base would be a blessing, but it is in fact is the basis of their problems. Since its inception of the Destiny franchise outside of a three year gap from twenty seventeen to twenty twenty the buzz word was "Aspirational". That translates to "hard to get" in regards to loot and what it takes to get there. Each player needs to accept that for the remainder of Destiny's life span as it will not fundamentally change. They are going to cater to a player base as it aligns with their vision of how they want the game to play. There is a level of personal accountability as it relates to the player. If you don't like the direction Destiny is going, then spend your time doing or playing something you do enjoy. I'm not trying to be toxic but I would imagine that it would be common sense. Someone said in the comments you need to have money and there is truth to that. Other active MMO's are sixty to a hundred dollars a year for the expansion and an additional 60 dollars every 6 months for a subscription. That may seem like a lot but in reality, that's what it takes to put out the type of content you're constantly asking for and the DLC and four segments of twelve dollars is just not enough. They are only diving deeper into build crafting and increasing difficulty to more content. They have already announced that they want the next raid to be the hardest they have ever created. As a history lesson only twelve people beat Riven on day one in twenty three hours. The term casual and hardcore are tossed around frequently but never defined. You can be a casual and still build craft or play a role in a fireteam and it takes 5 minutes to get set up, but you have to care enough to do so. What people should be saying is I don't want to do any of those things, and I just want to login and click fore heads. If that pertains to you than that's ok but instead of hating this game just try something new. Negativity is contagious and you're not going to move mountains by repeating the same things. You'll just get frustrated feeling unheard. Devs play this game and many of them were players first that turned a passion into their profession and if they aren't making changes, it is because they achieved the result they wanted for better or worse. If you don't like the food just order something new instead of forcing yourself to eat something you don't like. You may disagree with everything I've stated but they are 100% factual

  • NOT having a huge playerbase is one of the current problems. So saying (or implying) the game both HAS a large player base and is ACTIVELY SUFFERING because of aforementioned large playerbase is not at all factual. Also, saying this game has the most diversity in playstyles is just incorrect as well. You know how many MMO's there are with many more classes and subclasses, all varied from one another? I agree with your point that Destiny, on the whole, is not going to change much. That part's true, but yeah yeah that whole thing about 100% factual....No. Nooooooot even close lol.
