Good evening everybody! This is Aifos coming to you alive from my relatively new office job! I’m a boring office person now!
My previous jobs before this one have all been retail, so I was always buying my food for the day the day of. Now that is no longer an option, and I find there are many days I am still hungry after lunch. I asked my manager, and I am good to have snacks stashed at my desk, so I’m looking for something to just keep at my desk, to pull out when I’m hungry. All my usual snacks are either too hard to get, or come in non-resealable bags, so I turn to you to help me find something.
The requirements are:
-Vegan
-Either resealable or being multiple small bags (like boxes of tiny bags of chips)
-Relatively cheap. I ain’t spending no fortune on snacks.
Preferred but not required:
-I can buy online
-Doesn’t make my fingies messy
-No preperation
Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you in advance!
Tl;dr? Here’s point!
I need snacks for work. See requirements above.
But that’s all for now folks! Jambuhbye!

Edited by pValue2010: 1/12/2024 2:37:40 PMMixed nuts/trail mix. Lately I’ve also been baking my own granola bars to snack on through the work-week. Last time I used Oats + peanut butter + can of pumpkin + dried fig + chocolate chips + chia seeds and a few others ingredients. I know you prefer no prep, but this can even be a meal replacement. Make multiple batches and you’re good for the week.

Pistachios. They also keep you busy. Idk if goldfish have a vegan option but if they do goldfish. Simply pour in a solo cup and shake into mouth for hands free snacking. It makes them an elite gaming snack as well especially the big cartons. Not so much a snack snack but I have an issue with eating out of boredom so I like sunflower seeds a lot. I put them in a cup, shake into my mouth, and then I keep a spit cup for the shells. Idk if your work has a fridge but I like spinach leaves with dressing. Makes a nice healthy snack.

Edited by silver: 1/11/2024 3:45:35 AMPeanut Butter Pretzels. Apple slices in a bag. Carrots in a bag.
-
Tin o’ biscuits. -Comes in a nice resealable and reusable container. -Pretty tidy snack depending how big and fast a bite you take. Might be solid enough to bite neatly, depends on the -blam!-. -Tons of biscuits in different shapes and sizes. Not sure about flavor cause they all look like same and it’s been a while since I’ve tried them. -Probably tastes better if you bring tea or something, dunno I’m not a tea drinker, but it’s incentive to change up your drink.

Buy, like, those little clip thingies so you can seal up bags. So useful. Also maybe buy some "Snack Gloves" so you can eat messier foods. My fav is chocolate raisins
-
Peanut butter pretzels. They come in a jar, and costco sells them.
-
The humble banana comes in its own packaging. It’s also cheap, filling and provides slow release energy. (Fibre tends to fill you up more and digests more slowly, so maybe add more to your lunch if you’re still hungry soon after eating.) As a healthy snack option, it’s tough to beat a banana. I always take fruit to work.
-
Veggie Straws.

I know literally nothing about being vegan or what foods are vegan but my go to snacks are Goldfish, granola bars(mainly just chocolate chip and peanut butter chip), peanuts, and peanut butter crackers.
-
Peanut butter crackers

I keep a huge resealable bag of plain cashews in my desk at all times. I usually munch on a smaller pack of pistachios at some point in the day too. Fruit gummies/snacks are good to hold you over (I’m not sure about vegan options… but there have to be some not made with gelatin.)

Good majority of ClifBars vegan and aren’t too costly if you buy in bulk.
