location: Exodus Black
activity: public event
event type: Ether Resupply?(apologies i forget the event name with the large servitor boss)
issue: After the starting damage phase on the boss his shield generates as normal, however no smaller servitors ever spawn in to continue the activity thus locking the boss in his shield immune to damage till the event timer runs out.
personal note: I am aware this has been a bug for months in the game with this activity, but decided to make a actual post about it due to the heartbreaking sight of 3 new players floundering about frantically confused why the event would not continue. Just a sad sight, reflects negatively on the game to a new player when one of the fight things they see is a broken activity with no chance of victory.

Edited by hfactor66: 2/8/2024 6:49:22 AMOr just be a Titan and use thundercrash with the exotic chest that boosts its damage and insta kill those pesky servitors the second they spwan. I occasionally do this just because it’s hilarious you can do it at all.

Honestly this has been broken since the launch of D2 I’m truly baffled they never took the time to fix this bug, but you know anything that benefits the players etc. they will only focus on those glitches. These glitches? Ignored forever cause it doesn’t hurt their agenda of padding out the playtime as much as possible.

It's another method they extend play time

This has been an issue for years. It comes from damaging the boss too much and basically getting him to phase two before he summons the phase one servitor. It’s never gonna be fixed or they woulda done it 5 years ago

This has been a known issue for almost a decade. Because it doesn’t make Bungo any money and requires them to work…it’s a non issue.
-
As others have said, ancient glitch/issue. Since it doesn't help us players, it's not going to be fixed. Sad, isn't it.
-
It happens occasionally. Everytime it happened its by failsafe for me.

Edited by ShepQ: 2/3/2024 6:04:30 AMBug for years, actually. This doesn't just happen on Nessus, either; I've seen it anywhere the same event occurs. The cause I identified at some point was destroying the regular sized servitors too quickly. The workaround that has worked for me ever since is to wait several seconds before destroying them. (Of course, that often requires other players not to kill them sooner...)

I actually thought they had fixed this but I must be wrong. Shocking they would let it go on so long. I've seen lots of new lights attempting it and of course, failing. Can't be encouraging them to stick with the game.
