I will always say this, destiny has the greatest potential I'veever seen. I just wish they wouldn't squander it with all their craziness. There are alotta things in destiny that could have been expanded on better. What would you say is the biggest wasted potential charcter/concept?

If the Perfect Raven doesn’t show up in the Final Shape I’m going to say it’s that one. Otherwise I’d say Xivu as the Hive god of war she has never really seemed threatening at all.

Mini screeb ;~;

Just gonna say Orin. She's a wonderful character most people don't know that exists

Edited by Praetor Rykаrd: 3/25/2024 6:51:10 PMAnything to do with the darkness We waited 5 years for it to finally be unveilled in Shadowkeep and all we got was another 5 years of pyramids floating ominously in the skybox

Penoptes Calus The wyrmgod

Anything that is not tied to the Seasonal Artifact is a joke in this game. Sad state of affairs, but its the truth.
-
That worm god that after everything we just killed him on a strike using regular weapons.
-
OG tower Exotic class items Srl Nightfall strikes, strikes in general Competetive crucible ….Most, if not all, of destiny 2 when I think about it.

The first three that come to mind are Ghaul, Quria, and Panoptes. Ghaul felt like a great villain early on cause he wanted to earn the Light legitimately, and while you could argue that he was ultimately pressured into taking it by force, I think that soured his character a bit. Plus, he had to be stopped by the Traveler itself once he did so, which showed that he was a legitimate threat, but nothing more came from that. I've been hoping that he'd return in some capacity during Final Shape, perhaps acting as a guide like Red Skull was during Avengers: Endgame, but the closest we got was his apparition during Season of the Therapy (still good character development for Caiatl though). Quria had a ton of buildup during D1 has some kind of trump card for Oryx in order to get 1-up on Savathun, only for her to use it to curse the Dreaming City during Forsaken then discard it during Splicer. I personally didn't mind Quria getting offed in a seasonal story, but it just felt forced and left a lot of loose ends handing. Panoptes was just underdeveloped. It had the potential to be a threatening enemy but it just gets immediately scrapped in the last mission to what was already an underwhelming campaign. I can't recall if it even had more lore to it beyond the campaign given how forgettable S2 was in general.

Our character. We were meant to be someone special and now we are just one the unusually stronger Guardians currently existing.
-
probably nimbus, not cuz is a woke npc but because is a downgraded version of the original destiny clown( that was actually funny )cayde-6

Nimbus is wasted potential, removing him from the game would change nothing, I wish he died and Rohan survives to realize the cost and burden of shortened mortality. Shaw Han doesn't need to exist, Shiro-4 can run the Cosmodrome stuff for the Tower, Shaw Han is another useless character who has no lore or backstory, just some dumb Hunter that got his team killed.
-
Too many to list. The main character focus seems to shift each season and then when it changes the previous character becomes obsolete or even forgotten. Mainly we get little bits or nothing. Hints barely. Ikora would be a great one to involve or even more so Shaxx. There is so much potential and most of the info is hidden in weapon or armor lore tabs.

None, it's still explaining the most important aspect of evolutions shape upon the universe...even yours. This undeniable truth, the proof of the shape and design that the universe wants to describe to you. It can make you feel comfortable, secured...or small and insignificant.

Cloud striders Despite their short life span, they should be easily stronger than most guardians and as a cyborg who is integrated with advanced nanobots they should have vex level intelligence and be able to create weapons out of thin air just like Ironman. I've made multiple posts about how Rohan and Nimbus could have easily killed Calus and stopped the shadow legion had they just ignored Osiris. I mean a large part to the story was the light suppressing tech, which had no effect on clouds cloudstriders or Neomuni tech.

Edited by Guardian,Archon Of Light: 3/17/2024 5:37:11 AMCrow Could have been a moving redemption Arc, but they made his character a whiny emo, having trauma in his situation is understandable, but they made it the characters entire identity, and don't get me started on his cringe simping for Amanda, bro have some self respect, if she don't like you anymore , you have a hot technically not your sister who adores you in Mara, glad they got back together this season If I were writing Crow, I would make him more assertive and defensive, he knows his past self did something bad, but he forgives and accepts himself and his new life has a guardian, and if you ignorantly think you need to punish him again for Caydes death , you will take a paracausal shot between the eyes , after your ghost!!! Instead of "I'm Sorry" he should be saying "You got a problem ?"

What concept ?. The Destiny franchise.

Edited by Hesh: 3/17/2024 6:01:13 PMWhat are you talking about??? Biggest wasted potential??? That goes for literally every single thing in this entire franchise! HAHAHAH!
-
Edited by Chunk: 3/17/2024 3:36:53 PMGambit... Worst concept ever and it was abandoned It should have had an end game contest mode for adept weapons and should have been trials for pve players.. Crow, worst character ever.. he should be Kenny of the tower and we should be able to find him in a different location of the Tower every day and kill him

Pretty much all of them except Cayde. Honorable mention to gunsmith. That guy is stone cold.
I will always say this, destiny has the greatest potential I've ever seen.
How do you measure a game's potential?

Edited by Guardian7053: 3/17/2024 6:41:45 AMGhaul (and the consol) He’s really a victim of the villain of the week formula. Would’ve been cool if he was captured instead of obliterated. Or if you fight the consul after ghaul since he’s the real mastermind

Mithrax and the House of Light. A threat dangerous enough to force a peace treaty between the Fallen and The Last City. Should have been am expansion.
