Dredgen Yor. I loved the lore of that character and Shin Malphur’s.
Although was kinda annoyed that he turned out to be Reyzl. Not a bad connection at all, but I preferred the Hunter vs Hunter version.
I like to think that Bungie made him a Titan because Hunters and Warlocks were arguing for years about whether he was a Warlock or Hunter and so in Y3 of D1 Bungie just said “screw it, let’s just link Dredgen Yor’s story to Reyzl’s and end the argument”.

I believe his ghost is still out there somewhere.

I’d want him back too. It was a good thematic example of the nature of Dark and Light as well as a cautionary tale. But due to the nature of dark and light being retconned at the time, they never capitalized on it.

To be fair I prefer the more nuanced portrayal of Yor that came with the revelations about Shin and the formation of the Shadows. There’s something about the fact that despite being a broken monster Yor still wanted to push Guardians forward to defeat what lurked in the dark. Even if it took a bloody reign of terror to do it.

I think we’ll see more of those emerge in whatever form this universe continues in post Final Shape. Losing your defined Traveler VS Witness sides will muddy the waters.
