I have a similar issue. I only get "processing data" and it never loads. I've tried all of the above too.

I ended up fixing it, it vould be a storage issue on your phone or device. I moved over 3.5 GB of Spotify files to my SD and it worked after a bit of downloading the databases. After the data move to my SD it only took 2 minutes total for the update and viola, it works
