Can someone please explain how the vex mythoclast drop works?

I've done around 15 runs, but I want to know how to increase my chances. Can a developer please explain it?

You need to carry someone that hasn’t tried VoG in D2 through the raid. It’ll drop for them. Then after you’ve done the raid five more times you’ll get it.
